I tried this app on my Nexus 5x stock (6.0.1) and it works perfectly when I turn off the screen; I can not say the same of the background, because video and audio stop...what can I do?

Doesnt work on my LG Flex 2 running rooted 5.1. Anyone know of another solution that will achieve background YouTube playback with a rooted device shouldnt be so hard right? Then again I'm not an android developer so I have no idea. I also would like to thank the author of this application it seems to have worked for some people and it's a great effort.

This app worked at first, but recently it stopped background playing. It will keep playing if I turn the screen off. But if I tap the home button or switch apps, it stops working. Anyone know what the issue is or how to fix it?

you have to disable "Android Web View".

I understood that if you press home button the ROM kills it or brings down to lower priority because the app even doesn't show a notification to stop from killing. So you can't rely on background play. Try some app which locks this in memory.Pls try this solution and reply back.?
