Is there any way to get this working on oxygen os? Maybe compare the differences in the audio implementation between stock android and oxygen.....
I would do this myself if I knew where to look. Even if a fix is not possible, I would like to know the source of the problem out of sheer curiosity.

I flashed the zip on Stock Rom on a LG G4 via FlashFire, followed the instructions exactly and it works flawlessly. But I noticed that after that, Android OS drains battery very fast. Is this normal? Can I avoid that? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.
For Android 6.0.x MM check here working great both on my OPO and N6P.
It's normal to have higher battery drain while playback but not otherwise.
Thanks for these versions of V4FX. I successfully installed both on my rooted HTC Desire 626s running Nightbreed 5.1 rom, and my rooted Lenovo Tab2 A10-70F running stock, debloated 4.4.4. The tablet came with Dolby Atmos, but it had a "grainy" sound to it. This is SOOO much better! No errors or glitches. On the 626s, the SELinux Mode Changer was a must have, along with BusyBox. Works perfect! Thanks TONS again!

Info: This is a fully working Viper4Android app for all custom ROMs running CM11/CM11s with Android 4.4.x and CM12/CM12.1 (AOSP, Slim, Omni) with Android 5.0.x/5.1.0. Not working on Oxygen OS with Android 5.0.2.
Instructions: Download the zip file, flash it in recovery and reboot. Make a nandroid backup first in case you want to revert back.
Important: Only for CM12/CM12.1 and CM12/CM12.1/AOSP based ROMs with Android 5.0.x/5.1.0. Make sure to set the SELinux mode to Permissive instead of Enforcing using SELinux Mode Changer.

i seem to have a problem with phones DSP i cannot find it i hav touchwiz rom. v4a installs properly but crashes when i play songs this maybe due to built in dsp but i cannot find and disable it i have sm-j120h samsung j1 2016
Did u tried disabling from apps ?
If that doesn't work u can delete that dsp by giving root permission to your file manager and go to system/priv-app and delete that dsp folder.
i am getting playback error on my s6 and i am on custom rom...xtrestolite...
