Getting "this app keeps stopping" since today"s AA update, but it seems to work, got Soundcloud working fine, including next track steering wheel control, though mute crashes something as cars native media screen appears but selecting AA again and it's working straight away. (Android 10)

I updated AA a few days ago but I thought it hadn't installed properly as there was no icon in apps, I assumed some licensing issue or something as I downloaded it over a vpn in another country (turns out it is because they haven't implemented the AA phone version). Anyhow my son plugged it into car and AA appeared, I assumed it was old one, but later msg popped up saying "try the new AA layout" & sure enough it was working. Also the AAA was showing on the home screen. It didn't seem to be working & crashed. But he turned developers option on in AA & reopened & went through AAA set up again and it's working (with soundcloud on Android 10), but think you have to have it running first or in background ie. a recent app Haven't had time to check it properly myself though as I was driving, but I could jump forwards or back using steering wheel controls.

PS. This is another great little app that keeps AA in day mode if you switch on the lights during the day eg at sunset. (though it wasn't working just now not sure if it's Android 10, new AA or the vpn set to foreign country that has stopped it, but might still work on some phones)

It doesn't work for me with Stellio Player.

Anyone succeed it work with Stellio perhaps?

EDIT: It works now. In Stellio "Translate song metadata" option must be switched on.

Just like IronRoo mentioned, I'm having issues with this otherwise AWESOME app. I'm on Android Pie, not 10, and trying to use AAA for Soundcloud/YT Vanced. It works sometimes, but other times it won't work and keeps crashing (my phone will tell me that the app keeps restarting). These issues are only related to how it works in the HEAD UNIT mode, not on my phone. While using AA on my phone, everything seems to work perfectly.

Here are the two main issues:
1. Soundcloud constantly gets 'unticked' from the list of pinned apps
2. If I have another app playing music, switching to AAA within the head unit AA interface will almost always cause issues. Most often it's just a neverending 'loading' screen trying to get to the list of pinned apps.

jvvpc, I'm sure you're very busy, but please consider taking a look at these recent issues with the newer android versions and the new interface.

Idk, but if you have to open the app manually, stop complaining and just do it. Remember, the dev hasn't provided an update in a long time

hi i just installed anyautoaudio and I can't access the developer servings. Please help

So I was tired of not being able to use the audio apps I normally use in Auto and decided to try and do something about it. This app is the result :fingers-crossed:

How does it work?
By using the notification listener permission, the app is able to access the media session of any audio app that is running. This is then passed to Android Auto, which makes it possible to control as any normal Auto app. This also means that it is necessary to run the audio app(s) first before running Auto.

I have several ideas for future features, but would like some feedback first and get rid of bugs. Take it for a spin!

Howto:
- Setup AnyAutoAudio from the app
- Open and run music app(s)
- Run Android Auto from phone or dashboard

Install AnyAutoAudio directly from apk:

If downloading the APK directly you need to allow unknown sources in Auto,

- In the Android Auto app, tap the Hamburger menu.
- Tap About.
- Tap About Android Auto header 10 times, until a toast appears thar says "Developer mode enabled". Now you can access developer mode by selecting the overflow menu dots on the top right of the handheld screen.
- Select Developer settings from the overflow menu and check unknown sources.

Works!

I just tested this with latest AA up to date and YoutubeVanced. It works, you can play and pause at any time from the steering wheel, but you cant skip or play previous unless the phone is unlocked!

I think this is a limitation with YoutubeVanced!

Hey, I tried the app and it works, well kind of, I'm using it with soundcloud and as I said it works, y can play /stop skip songs through AA in my phone, but after a couple of songs it doesn't recognize soundcloud anymore and I have to play music again from the notification bar, do I have to do something else? I tried disabling the battery saver from AA anyauto and soundcloud but the problem still persist
