Another beta rolling out! Summary of minor changes, for the most part:
  • Add a simple timestamp to the last message in notifications
  • Resolve an issue where upcoming times might be incorrect when message postponement is done from a notification
Would really love some feedback on item 1 above after you experience it as it slightly changes what you would normally see! Hopefully for the better!

Thank you!

Yep it's there just not on my smartwatch when I get notification options, it's all good.
Hey spart0n!

While I don’t own a wearable yet, with Google recently improving the status of Wear OS support in Android Studio I decided to finally see how the app behaves in a paired device setting here. Sorry for not looking into this sooner.

When a notification appears on a wearable device, and it is tapped on, you should see the option/Action buttons for that notification. In the case of a text message, one of the Actions is Not Today. Are these Action buttons not appearing for you when you tap on a notification from the app? Here’s what it should look like:

Also, in evaluating the app’s wearable operations here, it appears the app, for some reason, is processing notification dismissals twice. If you don’t mind, would you kindly clear/dismiss/swipe a notification from the app on your smartwatch and verify if this duplication is also happening to you? It’ll be noted in the app’s History. If you’re seeing this behavior, it’ll look something like this below—with the acknowledgment of the notification, and then the action itself, being listed twice in History.

Thank you!

Rolling out another beta! This one contains library updates, some code cleanup and improved operations when notifications and related are disabled in Android for the app.

Please report back with any issues or app behavior you feel might be incorrect!

Thank you!

Happy Belated New Year!

Resolve to be better about communicating in 2023 with CommuniqAI!

Another beta is rolling out with library updates (as usual) and resolutions for edge cases where messages might be scheduled past the end of a person’s configured time window in addition to some rare text formatting issues for previous actions with Upcoming messages.

Please report back with any issues!

Cheers!

Yet another beta update rolling out! Includes library updates, improves operations with insufficient permissions and retires support for API 23, which, amongst other things, has the added benefit of reducing the APK size a bit further (even though it’s already quite small!).

Please report back with any issues!

Thank you!

It’s beta time again! This release includes support for quarterly messaging, increases the number of messages displayed in notifications and improves stability with some devices.

Since this update also includes some behind the scenes support for enhanced smarts in the future, I’d really love to have this release “worked” a bit to make sure it’s good! Also, please let me know if you like the expanded messages that are displayed in notifications or if you prefer the previous shorter version!

Lastly, we’ve started another marketing blitz for the app and here is one of the creatives!

Cheers and thank you!

We finally reached 5000 downloads! Wooohooo! Took longer than we expected, but yay! Might take a little while to be reflected in the Play Store listing, but it’ll get updated eventually!

For those that are testing the latest beta, 1.1.53, and have not provided feedback yet, we’d still love to hear from you! How are things working, or not? Do you like the expanded messages that are displayed in notifications? If not, why? We’d like to try to get this release pushed out to production quicker than usual as it, hopefully, should also correct some stability issues that were seeing on some devices.

Thanks again for helping us hit 5K!

Another beta? Yep! This release allows you to postpone messaging if there was a related recent group message, resolves possible scheduling issues and an issue where call reminders were not being properly cancelled and continues to improve stability.

Might you have a need for this new recent group message postponement feature? The thought behind it is, if you’ve already recently corresponded with a person in a small group text setting, you might not want to be reminded to reach out to the person. Also, if you wouldn’t mind, please read the description for this feature in the app and let me know if it makes sense!

Thank you!

Very weird! Do you see a Notified or Acknowledged notification in the History tab for those messages? Any change that you recently made around the time this started happening to one or more of your related devices? For example, I know you have a connected watch—might have you recently connected a computer as well?

Weird. Does the app have permission to send notifications? Would you mind sending me screenshots of an affected user from the People tab and the related messages from the History tab? Feel free to remove any personally identifiable information and reply to me directly.

The last few days I've not been getting notifications before messages are sent. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue persists. How can I help you find out why?
Thank you for working with us to identify an issue in the app! For anyone else that’s experiencing this, please perform the following steps:
  1. Remove Notifications permissions from the app
  2. For a single person, disable Notify briefly before sending messages and then re-enable it
  3. Tap Accept on the App permissions dialog for notifications that should appear
  4. Allow the app notification permissions in the system dialog that should appear
That should do the trick! We will be addressing this in a future build to help prevent it from happening again!

Throwing out another quick beta which addresses the possible notification issues that were recently uncovered in this thread! Thank you again! We also fixed the centering of the titles in the tabs (looks like we overlooked this while addressing some accessibility issues)!

Also, might you have a need for the new recent group message postponement feature? The thought behind it is, if you’ve already recently corresponded with a person in a small group text setting, you might not want to be reminded to reach out to the person. If you wouldn’t mind, please read the description for this feature in the app and let us know if it makes sense!

Thanks!

With the recent changes to the app, the screenshots in the Play Store are getting rather stale! We’re just planning on making minor changes here, so which do you like better, and why? The current one with a photorealistic phone or the new one with an outline of a phone?

Thanks!

Rolling out a minor beta release that mainly contains Android library updates that resolve an issue with an Android library—since even Google’s developers are not perfect ;) !

Cheers!

Yet another beta! This one just lays some groundwork for Android 14 and updates some libraries. Not sure we’ll release this one to the public, but we do want to make certain it’s bug free (Just kidding! Nothing is bug free!) and use it as a scaffolding for more changes. Also, please let us know if app start times appear longer for this release!

Thanks!

For fun, here’s another one of our marketing creatives:

As we finalize our product for its initial production release, we are seeking final feedback from interested parties. For the first 50 people that provide valuable and MEANINGFUL FEEDBACK to the short questions at https://forms.gle/qFBPLTrbeuPWgNiu7, we will happily be sending free upgrade promo codes!

The app has no ads, may be downloaded from the Google Play Store and is currently available in 96 counties and regions.

The landing page is at https://communiqai.com .

    Without further ado:

CommuniqAI is the ultimate AI-powered tool for effortlessly scheduling and automating your SMS text messages, calls, and email. It’ll help you stay in touch with those who mean the most to you—and it’ll be there for you through life’s many distractions.

We all have those moments where we simply forget, are too busy, or struggle to find the right words to use to reach out to the important people in our lives, but you don’t have to let that stop you from staying in touch! With CommuniqAI, you can effortlessly keep in touch with your loved ones, family, friends, clients, customers, and even patients. Our AI-generated messages are conversationally aware, helping ensure that your texts are thoughtful and engaging, but messages of your choosing can also be used. In addition, our smart prompts can also remind you to call or email, so you never miss an opportunity to connect. Let CommuniqAI help you stay connected with the people who matter most!

Some people are against technology like this, but we believe that anything that helps you maintain connections with the important people in your life is, in the long run, a good thing. CommuniqAI, by default, will not take any action and largely act as a helpful reminder, and we recommend this type of use.

    Features
    • Automatically send custom and AI-generated SMS text messages with intelligent scheduling and randomization
    • Automatically start a call, with reminders, if there were none or you missed a call for the frequency specified
    • Automatically start a prepopulated email, with reminders, on a regular basis
    • Automatically tracks SMS text messages and calls—no manual logging needed!
    • Uses AI-generated text messages that are conversationally aware or predefined recurring message templates
    • Notifications for upcoming messages (configurable)
    • Notifications are populated with your recent conversation history and favorite messages (favorites are currently available on Android 9 and later)
    • Complements your default SMS text messaging, call and email apps
    • Won’t automatically send a message to someone if:
      • You are in a call with them
      • You recently missed a call from them (configurable)
      • They recently sent a message and you didn’t reply (configurable)
      • You recently corresponded with them in a small group (configurable)
    • Won’t automatically start a call with someone if you:
      • Are in a call with them
      • Were in a call with them and didn’t end the period selected with a missed call
    • Android Material You design
    • Won’t repeat the last message sent
    • Upcoming messages can be easily edited, disabled, postponed, skipped or quickly changed to other frequently sent messages
    • Set a maximum number of messages per day, week, month or quarter
    • Supports multiple people (when upgraded)
    • Time zone aware (it’ll do the right thing regardless of where you are)
    • History of what communication actions were taken and why
    Helpful Hints
    • Use shorter and more generalized messages—for example, a simple “Love you” or “What’s new?” is ideal.
    • Lots of varied messages and variations on similar messages tend to work best.
    • Disable messaging when you and your significant other are together—or select Not Today when notified. You can also schedule messaging to occur outside of the times you’re likely to be together.
    • Don’t wait for CommuniqAI! If you want to reach out to someone, let them know in the moment!
