I had same issue and contacted developer. He did not help in anyway. I actually feel robbed. When I decide to support a developer is an appreciation of his hard work. But when I ran into bad luck and my phone is no longer accessible, he did not extend the support. I cannot help but to say that I am dissappnited.
Just noticed that a new AAAD .apk for version 1.4.4 with bug fixes and translations was posted in github yesterday. Just installed it on my phone, but I have yet to test it using my car head unit
I downloaded it and tested it this afternoon with AA 7.6.121504 on the S21 Ultra one UI 4.1 non-root and nothing happened and nothing changed. The dev posted that all that needs to be done is delete the apps and redownload through his app and the problems will be resolved.
Somehow he must have forgotten that if you don't pay for that app which only works 10% of the time, you can only download one app every month. I have been emailing him, he did reply one time but it was pointless.
Carstream is basically an internet browser. You can load pretty much anything in it.
Im running 1.4.4 screen2auto when mirroring most every streaming ap the video is blank. TCM channel works and my phone always shows. The closed caption and sound works on every stream ap.
Yeah I see that after last update from Google 7.5.621364 Formata auto is not working. Try uninstall android auto and find APK version 7.4 and should be ok again. I did that and formata auto is working again
Ok. i have try on realme gt master rmx3363 with android 11 and stock rom A10 and all versions possible of Aauto. But don't work. I can't show app on Android Auto.
But i have try on my Xiaomi 9t Pro with android 11 and stock rom miui 12.5.2 stable and AA 7.5.621364.
It's work like a charm with Screen2Auto.

If I have sound and a black screen I just switch to another app on the head unit and then back to s2a and the video works great then. Worth a try
I have tried to install Screen2Auto and Sygic with King Installer, but it is not working on MIUI 13 (Android 12) and AA 7.x ;-( Nothing shows in AA.

Why the heck do I need this app? Can’t I just install the apps by myslef?
Well yes, you could, but they would not appear in Android Auto. Since the beginning of 2018 the custom apps for Android Auto are blocked by Google, but AAAD installs them in a special way in order to actually see the apps on Android Auto. And no root is needed! Call it magic, if you will.
I have a warning from Google Play Protect warning me about your app! Is this app a malware?
Of course AAAD it’s not a malware. Google Play Store does not like apps that install other apps and apps that have IAP (in app purchases) not managed by Google. You can see yourself that this app basically doesn’t require special permissions. Also, I’m planning on releasing the source code soon!
Why only those apps? Where is YouTube? Where is Netflix? Where is Instagram?
Not all apps are compatible with Android Auto. You can’t just pick an app and sledge hammer it into Android Auto. I’ve included basically almost every Android Auto app known to date, and the only responsibility of AAAD is to make them available in Android Auto.
How do I update the apps installed from AAAD?
AAAD will always download latest version of an app. If one of the apps that you've installed through AAAD gets an update, you can open AAAD and download the update. At the moment, there's no update checker, but I'm planning on making it!

Of course no. The offered in app purchase is solely processed by PayPal and none of the informations are held or shared with me.

If you are on mobile, you likely will have a little dropdown menu named "Assets", from there you can see the package (APK) to install the app. Download and install. If you are on a PC, you might see the "Assets" menu already collapsed and from there you can see the APK.4
