URL issue

I apologize if this has been askwered alredy first of all.

I put an URL on the tag lets say Facebook and when i try to open it, it trys to open with Opera and it just gives it u/ and it comes up with nothing. If I uninstall Opera it opens fine in Dolphin. Is there a way to propmt it not to use Opera browser and use Dolphin. I keep Opera cause it is best to download stuff IMO.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I sent an email through the app feedback last night.

Thanks for the info. When's the next release expected? Should I try a workaround with Tasker in the meantime? Or split it up in to two tags?
I'm on vacation now for the next 10 days or so. So not until after then. If you want to use the automatic SMS plugin that should work. Otherwise tasker is a fine workaround in the meantime.

I use an app called Volume Ace to switch between various volume profiles that I've created. It would be very cool if I could use an NFC tag to launch this app and select one of these predefined profiles. I've been tinkering around with the "Custom" field which shows up when you select the application to launch. After much experimentation, I haven't been able to get anything to work!

I have been in touch with the author of Volume Ace. I have confirmed that there is a ProfileSet activity which should allow me to select a profile assuming I can invoke this activity and pass the name of the profile I want to select.

Is this possible or just wishful thinking? If possible, what would I need to put in the custom field? Any suggestions?

You'll need to define a custom intent. That's not possible in the app right now, but it's planned for a future release.

NFC technology has a lot of potential. I’ve recently purchased a few tags. I would like to be able to only use NFC Task Launcher instead of a combination of different apps such as tasker to complete specific activities on my device.
Right now, I am able to:
Disable Wifi
Enable GPS (with root)
Start mapmyrun+

I would like to be able to start playing a specific playlist with NFC Task launcher without using another app.

Once I figure it out, my girlfriend will be very happy that technology is helping her save time when she wants to go for a run.

Starting a playlist in what app? Right now it might not be possible. Soon though I want to add support for Google Music playlists.

Hi Developer,

Would it be possible to make a USB Fast Charge Toggle please?
It's gonna be useful if I could place one tag near the USB port, so that I can choose if I "fast charge"

Thanks!

Is it me or is there no way to edit tasks for a tag? I don't store them on the tags if that makes a difference

You can't currently "edit" individual actions within a task. That is planned for a future release right now.

You can edit a task by loading the saved task and then adding/removing actions.

Thanks and now the new version won't execute anything when I scan my tags. It simply says 'Found tag' and nothing more.

I reverted back and it was OK again. Upgraded and rebooted still not working.

Switch tag or regular task tags?

Not quite sure which is which. All I know is that the tags don't have the tasks written to them ie. the way the app worked when it first came out.

Enable debugging in the app - scan the tag in question and send me the log. That would be easiest. Are your saved tags present in the app when you open it?

Yes they are all still there. Will get a log shortly.

How does NFC Task launcher deal with exiting tasks? Do I need 2 tags/stickers? One 'on' and one 'off'?

e.g.
If I have a tag in the car to enable my car tasker task which turns on Nav app and turns off wifi. Does NFC TL then turn off the Nav app and back on the wifi? Or do I need another tag to do this for me?

Thanks

you can put a set of reverse settings on the same tag. They are called "switches" look on NTL for "New Switch" and create it there.
