A totally different use

This looks awesome. Now I just need to wait for Nougat.

I would be interested in a totally different use of the screen split.

I wonder if it would be possible to mirror two screens for the same app session. That way you might be able to get a huge screen in front of your eyes using a VR headset.

I see that the idea is not logically related to this app but it might be possible and it might match.

@jagan2 First of all, great work with the app. Will be on Nougat in some days and this will be one of the first apps I install.
Also, I don't know what other exciting features you have planned like mentioned on earlier pages but I would really appreciate if you could make it have something like screenshot, multiple screenshot, screen recorder and regional screen recorder (like Spen offers) options in the sidebar making it the ultimate sidebar.
Currently an app named Fooview Alpha does this but it's by the same dev of Es File Explorer (I read somewhere but I may be wrong) and has unnecessary bloatware like games, browser, clipboard, etc in it too. Not trying to disrespect that dev or to take away his efforts on the app but I feel if it's ok for you then there is no harm in requesting some similar options in your app. Thanks.

Doesn't work on my nexus 9 on nougat latest security patch
EDIT: I was wrong it doesn't give a toast notification saying unsupported but also happened to not work for the first few apps I tried (they were all google apps), but it did work with Facebook
A lot of Apps would naturally be unsupported, some Apps' developer explicitly configure them to run as a single instance. In that case, Parallel Windows for Nougat can't do much unfortunately.

op you deserve a medal
Ha! Thanks!

so far so good. working good on my nexus 6p. whatsapp working perfectly. thanks devs :victory:
You're welcome! :)

I would like to report this
The app suddenly started fcs
Maybe bocz i rebooted or changed kernel
I had to uninstall and reinstall to fix it
A reboot shouldn't FCS but a kernel change ha, quite possible! Next time when it FCS 'report' it, I will receive it via Google Play :)

You can force any app for split window. In developers options menu the last item; don't know what's it called in English but if you read the list you can't miss it.
But if you enable this option switching between apps will be noticeable slower. And also the inactive page will not update its screen.

(edit: you need to reboot after switching this switch to get it to work)

Another 6p user here. I'm going to try this app.
Restarting the device indeed might be the key, thanks!
@cr&sh you may wanna try this.

Tried on my Asus Zenfone Selfie running CyanogenMod 14!

Works great! Love it!
Suggestion: Ability to hide apps from app drawer.
Very annoying to see keyboard app settings in there.
and no ads..pls .-.
Ha! Looks like you're having good fun with the App :p

App drawer will have a lot of features in future. Ads are here to support the development, hope you understand and cooperate, I may have an option to remove it via in-app purchase, thanks! :)

Well, on the fly I can think of a theoretical way to achieve that but I wonder how is that going to be really useful, if the same App session is mirrored, it will be as big as the other window, in other words, the mirrored window will NOT extend the other window like an external monitor but just mirror. I have never used a VR headset, so I am kind of clueless, if there is a genuine use case for the mass, I might be willing to give it a try. :)

which emulator did you use?
It's the official Android Emulator 2.0 which comes with Android Studio.

What is the point of this? It just seems like a novel trick to me.
It might very well be just a novel trick indeed. But, it might quite be useful for people who are into heavy chatting, an example would be, a WhatsApp group chat opened in one window and a individual chat window in the other, one can keep a eye on what's going on in the group while they chat with someone specific.

Also, the feature might be specifically useful in tablets, where you have a large space.

While 'mirroring' is the highlight of the App, the tool to quickly launch any new App in a side-by-side window might be a great use case for many.

Most of the features I planned revolve around the split-screen functionality. While I did think of adding more functionality to the side bar and your suggestions sound good, I wouldn't want to crowd the side bar and distort the main purpose of the App. But we'll see, if such add-ons to the sidebar is desired by many, we'll have them.

Dude this looks sexy AF !
Thanks :)
Ha! Thanks! :)

Use case for the mirroring:
When being on the road there are several ways to improve productivity with an external keyboard for example. What if using any headset like cardboard VR with your phone and you can see a full desktop size and work with your phone on the road.

Wow thanks a lot. You know better than I do. Also, one more thing that came into my mind when you said that you don't want to crowd the side bar is an option to add/delete/rearrange stuff that appears in the side bar (might be useful if/when you add more features to have only the ones that meet our use case on the sidebar).
Thanks again. All these are just suggestions that you are free to ignore. Just trying to share some ideas

Just installed it on an old Nook HD+ running an experimental(not mine) Nougat ROM and so far it seems to work great. Will play with it for a bit and let you know how it works in the long run

@jagan2 Great work with the app. Enjoying using it everyday since I moved to Nougat a few days back on my Oneplus One.
Also, you said that you test the app on an emulator so I wanted to tell you that if you need someone to test something on an actual device, I will be there to help.

Thanks again for the app
