I've been using this launcher since v5.3 I think and I am now on the last build discussed in Telegram. I just have a question. Correct me if I'm wrong but this Pixel Launcher doesn't support landscape mode, right? was thinking of trying out this launcher for my Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus..just because I like its simplistic look. :D

If I am correct on this deduction, can anyone point me to a good launcher for tablets? I've been looking foir ports of the galaxy tab S4 launcher for any tablet but the oinlyu thing I cam across was a galaxy tab S4 rom port for mi pad 4. I'm not even close to unlocking my bootloader yet. lol. :D

Hey @paphonb I know this is gonna sound stupid but I'm looking for a port with some customizations (like iconpack support) on the old pixel launcher 7.1.1 (from pixel 1 device) with the old pill style bubble shortcut popups. The only one available is that of Amir's (v1.5) but it has no extra features. Any help will be appreciated:)

I've been running a version of this launcher for a while on a Moto Z2 Oteo8. It's been working fine. But for some reason from today and I press the temperature display next to the Date on the top of the home screen, it used to being up the weather app but now it does nothing. I've deleted cache, installed a new version, restarted phone to no avail. Has anybody else seen this behavior and it so, what for you do to fix it?. Thanks

That was a well documented and widely reported issue with a recent Google app update.
Try updating your Google app to the VERY latest and the issue should be fixed.
I can confirm this was happening in every launcher that has that at a glance weather built in - not just this one, and I can confirm I updated my Google app last week and that fixed the issue.

I thought it might be the Google app so I signed up for the beta program and got what I thought was the latest version but that exhibited the same problem. I then removed updates to the beta and now it appears to be working so I'm not complaining. Thanks

Of topic important question for me since I have network operator with 2g and 4g only it switches to 2g, how to put custom value to have 4g only in settings? Please help me :)

I'm getting this by clicking google bar in home screen. But the same works well in Google app (normal fonts, etc.)

That's normal.

For me it's been like that several weeks and is down to some Google app changes, not from the launcher.
You also might be experiencing a Google server side test, Google are changing these things all the time.

Build 15 and 16 work with no issues on the J3 (2018) with Oreo 8.0, the J4+ (2019) with Oreo 8.1 and the J6+ (2019) with pie 9.0 and one ui.

I Just tested build 15 and 16 to check and all apps work as expected.
No crashes at all - although build 16 is rather slow on the J6+ (2019) with pie 9.0

FYI

The J5 prime is not available in UK so I can't test that device, the closest device to the J5 prime available in UK would be the J4+ (2019)

Edit

All builds of V6 and V7 (Q) of this launcher also work on those I listed above apart from V7 (Q) doesn't install on the Samsung J3 (2018)

How can I tell which version of this app I'm running? I'm on a OnePlus 3 and just upgraded to Pie. In the app settings, it says version 9-4889482 but I'd like to correspond that to the apk version in the OP.

Read the OP (first post) again very carefully.

1. This only works on android 7.0 - 8.1

2. You have to remove any other instances of an installed pixel launcher before you can Install this one......

This is NOT compatible with android 9 and clearly states that in the OP.

I'm not sure Why would you you want to install or use this app on your pixel.
The pixel launcher on your pixel is a much newer version than this one :eek:

    The Pixel 2 Launcher was released not long ago. But some features only work when installed as a system app so I decided to make this.

    How to install? Simple. Just download the apk and open it. And don't forget to uninstall you old Pixel Launcher first (if you already have one).

    Q: Notification badges is not working

    Q: It's crashing for me

    Q: Weather/At A Glance not working
    A: Make sure your Google app is the latest version and installed as a system app then try this.

    Q: My icons are not rounded
    A: It's up to your ROM to decide which one is used.

    Q: It says "App not installed" when I try to change my wallpaper.
    A: Install Google's Wallpapers app from Play Store.

    Q: Does this launcher support icon packs?
    A: No. Neither this nor the original Pixel Launcher support icon packs. But if you're rooted, you can use Pixel Launcher Mods to change icons or apply an icon pack.

    Q: I got an error saying "App not installed" when I try to install this launcher
    A: This launcher has the same package name as Pixel Launcher. You need to uninstall other versions of Pixel Launcher first. If it is a system app, use the Magisk module to install this launcher. A variant of this mod with a new package name is now available.

    Q: I got an error saying "There was a problem parsing the package" when I try to install
    A: Starting from version 5 (based on P Pixel Launcher), this launcher only supports Android 7 and above.

    Q: The launcher crashes when launching some apps.
    A: This is probably a bug in a WIP feature in the launcher. A workaround is to change icon shape in launcher settings.
