No, there was an early version which uses the stock android brightness slider, but dims the screen with an overlay. It was a root only version. The latest version adds a separate slider in the notification bar. If you have that apk version please share with us

With this app I can't swipe up/down to change brightness inside Mx Player or Youtube. Is there a fix for that?

Oled Saver does not use root access. This program does not control the system brightness slider. She adds her own brightness slider. I would like a program that uses the system brightness slider.

It seems that PWM Free is no longer updated, given the silence of its developer. Instead, use OLED Saver. As for the color problem on a screenshot, it is indeed "normal", but I don't know a solution.

Keep in mind, this app works like "OLED Saver", it uses software to dim the display instead of using the hardware of the phone, this is why there's no PWM (cause it forces display to 100%)
