This is the APK for the new facebook app UI.

Uninstall your old Facebook app, and install the apk, disable auto-update in the play store (you may have to uninstall and reinstall again after disabling auto update), or it'll just revert to the old UI

Try uninstalling and reinstalling again, thats what I had to do

It's disabled from serverside. FB needs to enable the new UI to you before the apk and design works.

I think still the same. But you can try using Greenify

APP has not been a drain in some time its been very good on the battery

I'm in the Facebook Beta group and I had never seen that interface.

my current version is 4.0.0.24.3

I'm in alpha and I haven't seen it. But a lucky few have. There is no hack as it's controlled server side by fb
