Doesn't work on my L640. Installed Interop and enabled the features that are needed (working fine). Installed dependencies and then the app, but nothing appears. No idea what happens.
Failure reason: error 0x800413A0: While processing the request, the system failed to register the windows.repositoryExtension extension due to the following error: <Error message string not found>.. Failure text: Unavailable(0x800413a0)

I can not install AppDataManageTool_2.2.0.0_ARM.appx on a 950xl dual sim with W10m 1511.
Installing from sd card does nothing.
using WinAppDeployCmd.exe from the pc gives me this error:
0x80131500 - Failed to install or update package: error 0x800413A0: While processing the request, the system failed to register the windows.repositoryExtension extension due to the following error: <Error message string not found>. 0x800413a0

Help would be appreciated.

BTW: Is it possible to backup the radio app to reinstall it after the anniversary update?

The app crash when I try to restore the backup.
I downloaded the source from GitHub to debug the issue, but I am unable to compile due missing dependences.

I fixed a serious bug that causes an outofmemory exception, especially when you backup big applications.
I have no enough reputation to post a link to the fixed version, bug you can see the fork with pull request on github.

hey @mahdi75, great app. i have a sugestion: add a 'favorite hub' to we add apps which we need reset every week like the "instragram oficial". this way we could pin the 'favote hub' in home screen to acess quickly the favorite app list to reset them.

This app have his own bacup mechanism with same results :/ and support is discontinued.
What can cause problem with bacup resoration, I tried tons of note apps and this is best suited for me?

Since this project seems no more maintained, I am working on a fork.
here the repository.
I made some bug fix and small improvements for myself.
I have no roadmap, this version works for me on my device, so I removed "beta", but I can't assure if it's stable, If you find bugs feel free to report them/contribute on GitHub.

In future I like to implement full backup of applications to restore them if they are no more available in the store, but I am not sure how this can be done and if it's feasible.

Here download of app package

Wonder if you are still working on it. Could you please fix the problem mentioned here?

Not Installing

Is this still supported? I'm on a 929 with Insiders (15254.369) and I can't get this to install. I've been side loading other Apps just fine, but this never installs and doesn't appear in the App list. I've installed each of the dependencies first, but nothing seems to work.

Tried on my 950XL too. No luck there as well.

Thanks,

Sorry, today with deep regret, I bought a new Android Phone :crying::crying:
I really had intention to continue the development of this tool, I love Window Mobile but I believed too much, too many apps and service has been discontinued and now there are too many bugs.
I quarreled too much with Microsoft development support, for never fixed bugs in sdk and on OS.
Sorry, I give up, if you want contribute to the project clone it from github and feel free to contribute.
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I understand

Thanks for the great reply. You hung in there longer than I did. A few years ago, I was just learning Windows Phone development but after talking to a few people, I gave up.

Maybe I could try to resurrect this project, but I doubt if I could give it the time it needed.

I tried installing the cert, all the dependencies and then the app, but no luck.

It's just now that more and more apps are being disabled in the Store, I would like to copy them from one phone to another. I had to restore my wife's phone and now she doesn't have the Ring Doorbell app. Since they say it won't work, it's no longer in the store. But it's running on both my 929 and my 950XL just fine.

Good luck in your Android adventures.

App Data Manage Tool is a tool for Windows 10 Mobile devices to create backups from current state of apps and games, and restore them at a later time, or to another phone, or to your phone after a factory reset.

Although Microsoft introduced some APIs to backup apps into OneDrive, many apps still don't use it :( (Hill Climb Racing, WhatsApp, are you listening?)

This tool helps you to create local backup archives from any of your apps and games; then you can copy them to your PC and then to any phone so you can restore that archive.

Additionally, you can reset the state of apps, which is almost the same as reinstalling them, but is faster :) and also it can be done on some system apps (which you can't reinstall them)

Your phone must be interop unlocked. Here's a quick how to (for Lumias except x50 series):

    • Download Interop Tools by Gustave M. (ARM version) and its Dependencies from here and copy them to your phone.
    • Set your phone to Developer Mode (from Settings, Update & security, For Developers)
    • Tap on each of Dependencies from File Explorer, then tap on Interop Tools appx.
    • Open Interop Tools from app list, go to "Interop Unlock", tap on "Restore NDTKSvc" and then reboot your phone.
    • Open Interop Tools again and go to "Interop Unlock", now tap on "Interop/Cap unlock".
(For x50 series and non-Lumia phones, the steps might be different. search for it)

After you Interop Unlocked your phone, installing App Data Manage Tool is easy.
    • Just get it from the download link below, extract the ZIP and copy its contents to your phone, and tap on the appx from File Explorer to install. (you might need to install Dependencies first)

Download App Data Manage Tool Beta

See and contribute to the source code on GitHub

The interface is easy to use, look yourself ;)

App Data Manage Tool v2.1 released with numerous improvements.

The tool now includes a caching mechanism, so app loads much faster (after initial loading first time you open the app). I'm also releasing this as a separate open-source library, so other apps can take advantage of this method to load information about installed apps quickly.

    Other improvements are:
    • Added the ability to backup legacy apps on SD card.
    • You can now easily create a zip file from installation files of apps. It comes handy when you want to repack an app.
    • UI Improvements.

    Hi guys.
Unfortunately I'm busy these days, so I can't continue updating this tool. I published the source code to my GitHub, so other devs can help improving the app. :)

i have on suggetion : this app able to do backup apps on phone + sd card (app data) _ you can add a new function to the app to make file from installed apps to .Appx OR .Appxbundle .. so after uninstallation of app ...we dont need to download the app from store.. and we can share the apps..

can this is done? if yes then i think its usefull...

and if done than this app is mindblowing because ...its contain everything app+data...:highfive:
