Okay, I just realized the issue is that the placement for the ring was designed for the S10 in WQHD+ mode. By default, your phone is set to FHD+. I'll make the app compensate for this in the next update

I apologize for the rough launch this app had! if either of us had access to a s10 things would have gone smoother we are practically working blindly based on feedback but it shouldn't be long now until all bugs are fixed.

it appears the alignment bugs are fixed but please let us know if you still experience them, we are aware of the landscape bugs i've been told it's an Android limitation but we will work on finding a solution, i just realized xdadevelopers posted about this app thank you everyone for it being so well received and thank you to epicality for believing in my work to work with me on this, this app actually started as a project i called symetiumos which was a project meant to turn a smartphone into a pc like dex but that was back in 2014, we started work on this over a year ago which was the dockmenu and decided to release the navigationbar portion seperately so that will come soon, all the lighting features you see in arc lighting is part of that navigationbar app which is the reason arc lighting could be made, so you'll get the same lighting options for softkeys very soon, i can't wait for your feedback on that app and then lastly the dockmenu.

again thank you to everyone for this after all that hard work it's amazing to see it's result and what you think of it and thank you to xdadevelopers for featuring our app

I went ahead and bought ur app, cuz even though I never used it due to the ring was way too big, I was out of time, and ads weren't loading.
Anyway, its alignment is much better but still a tad off on my S10+.

Now, my next issue is it's always on. Even when there's no notifications. Is that intended ? I would only like to see it when there are notifications. I also have an s10e, if u need help with testing that. Thoughts ?

Set the default effect to "Disabled" with some Indicators enabled. This works for me.

Nice, that seemed to work. How about on AOD, the ring is stagnant and doesnt spin when a notification comes in. Normal ? Assuming its due to it's still in beta.

If you don't want it to always be on, you can set the appearance to 'Disabled' under the 'Default Effect' settings menu. Then, it'll only show when one of your enabled indicators has been triggered. Again, thank you so much for your patience. I just published version 1.0.8 with some the final changes to perfect the S10 position (hopefully), another attempt to get the S10+ position right, and some other various bug fixes.

The position of the ring is not still matched for S10+. It seems a little bit higher than the camera hole. I was tested with 1.0.8 version.

since many seem to find it confusing on how default effect is done i would like to make some Changes to that such as

Always on effect : gradient enabled

at the top of the settingsmenu rather than pressing default effect i also want it to be disabled by default would this solve the confusion? can also always add it as an idle option under indicators as originally intended thats what the navbar app has.

Nice, that seemed to work. How about on AOD, the ring is stagnant and doesnt spin when a notification comes in. Normal ? Assuming its due to it's still in beta.

the spinning animation is just for show it has nothing to do with any indicator but i have discussed adding it to any trigger as well as custom colors for each indicator meaning if you connect the charger it could have a mix between yellow and green spinning we'll see if that gets added, if so i also want levels of charge meaning a custom color or color mix for each percentage meaning if it's low and it's charging it will spin for example red in a slow speed then orange in a faster speed then green in an even faster speed (you can set speed for each level), these are all features that can be added, i also want a slider to choose when the battery overheat warnings goes on or again various levels of overheat mild, or critical etc, i also want custom colors and animations per app , i have plenty of ideas for this app, Another idea being ringtone indicator meaning it will flash when someone is Calling, battery indicator is also something i've been asked about so thats into consideration, no promises on these features but it's ideas that i have, right now we are focusing on the bugs, this app was mostly made for a lightshow as i personally love lights of all kinds hence why so many indicators were added as well as the glow effects.

i actually have a bug too where even if i dismiss notifications it keeps lighting after old notifications, you can also try turning off all other indicators to make sure it's not one of them.

    Hey everyone!
I'm here to announce the release of a new Android app developed by me and my partner under the company "Symetium Corporation."
    REMOVED

The app is basically just a list of things we would really want to be able to put around the camera cutout. It's extremely customizable and has endless combinations of setups. For example, you can enable a setting called 'Always Show Ring' which lets you have a solid color, dynamic color (based on the current app), or a few different types of gradients. In addition to that, you can run a rotation animation on it. Finally, you can also set up different indicators such as a notification indicator, an audio visualizer, a charging indicator, a low battery indicator, a critical battery indicator, and a device overheat indicator. Another notable effect is that you can add a glow effect to spice up the ring's appearance.

The app isn't free because we need to make back some of the development costs as well as fund our exciting upcoming projects, HOWEVER, you get 1 free hour of use and can watch short video advertisements in exchange for additional hours of time using the app. If you can't afford to purchase the app, we understand but would still love it if you would take a moment and try the app for an hour or two!

    Compatible Devices
    - Galaxy S10+
    - Galaxy S10
    - Galaxy S10e

    Download
The app can be found on the Google Play Store here:

    REMOVED

If you have an S10, S10+ or S10e, we'd love for you take a bit of time and try it out. Feedback is extremely crucial to us at this stage of development so we'd love to hear back from you! Thanks for your time!

    Update:
Announcing support for the Galaxy S10e!
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this new update. We really appreciate your help!

nice but it's out of position.

Hey everyone thanks for the feedback! I just released an update to fix the positioning issue. Apparently, I was using the wrong method for device detection. Basically, you were all seeing what I see when I test rather than what you SHOULD have seen using an S10/S10+. Apologies for the confusion! The update should rollout within the next few hours.

Hi, I bought the app and for me it's the best one out there. But is there any way to choose which notifications light up the ring? There's a few of them I'd like to deactivate and can't seem to be able to do it.
Also, the DND issue: the ring lights up white for that notification and I can't remove it.

Great job on this app. Thanks!

well technically you can't as the option hasn't been implemented yet i can't afford it, however you can use a workaround by setting each individual app notification to 100% transparency this will make it invisible then just leave the ones you need, it's not the best workaround as it will still light up you just won't see it. it will just be black instead but it will still take over any other notification.

    hi op
i gout the paid version of ARC, and the ring is not always glowing on AOD.
sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't (when phone is on AOD and screen off ).
it does work always when screen is on though.
    I have a exynos version of s10+.
tried reinstalling the app and allowing all the permisions needed. what am i missing here? and is there a way to turn off the ring when screen is on?
    thank you

you need to use a third party always on display or use the beta override function which will just force a black screen but it will also force a fingerprint icon for some reason so using a third party aod is best

Thanks for the app, I have donated to try
Firstly this is a good app, not far from the best

Couple of things holding me back though

    1. This doesn't seem to work on AOD at all? The animations are great with the screen on but don't work on AOD?

    2. Be nice to see some different effects added instead of just glowing...

Back to Holey Light at least until number 1 is fixed

use a third party always on display app such as always on amoled for properly working aod please report back

Hi, digging the app on my s10e, one thing I find is at night when do not disturb comes on as scheduled it lights up with a white ring and defeats the point of DND. Any idea how I can disable that behavior?

if you mean the dnd notification causing a white light you can go to per app notifications and find the notification causing it (hold on the dnd notification to see which name is causing it) then just make it black this will make it invisible for example if you don't want facebook notifications and have no idea what facebook is called in the applist simply hold on the notification to get the correct name.

i apologize for late responses i do not monitor this thread at all i thought it was dead
