This is a support thread for apks created by Arnova8G2. Here you'll find basic instructions on how to use this port and how to properly report bugs.

Compatibility:
- The camera2 api needs to be enabled;
- Most versions only work on Snapdragon SoCs, but some work on Kirin and Exynos processors;
- 64 bit ROMs are a requirement;
- Doesn't work on phones without RAW support (eg: some Sony devices);
- Newer versions may work only on new Android versions. Old versions might be better for old Android versions;

Known issues:
- FAQs and troubleshooting

- Slow motion is broken on some phones and Android versions;
- Some devices have issues with their front cameras (eg: OnePlus 3/3T, 5/5T). You may have to install a fix (if available for your phone) or disable HDR+ on the front camera (setting only available on some apks);
- Features on new Google Camera versions may take some time to be ported;

How to report bugs:
If possible, post on a thread for your phone (check this list or your phone's forum) or here if you can't find a thread for your phone. Please describe the issue and give details about your setup:

- Phone, ROM, any fixes installed;
- Name of the apk you're using;
- Screenshots or video recordings of the bug if you're able to;
- A logcat if there's a crash (How to save a logcat: video guide, advanced guide);
- Steps to reproduce the bug/crash;
- Mention @Arnova8G2 username;

- Your report will be ignored if no logs or a good explanation is provided.
- Arnova8G2 will do his best to fix bugs, but keep in mind that this is a free port and he also has his personal life.

Example of a report:

@Arnova8G2 Portrait mode crashes on my OnePlus 3 running LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1). I'm using "GCam_Pixel3Mod_1.1_build.6.1.013.apk".
To reproduce, open the app, go to portrait mode using the front camera, and take a picture.

Which version should you use:
There's no "universal app" or "universal settings" for all phones.

There are a few apks known to work well on a big number of devices, so you can try them. You can also test apks from other devs. The XDA portal team made a list of apks for each phone and while it's not 100% accurate, it can be useful for new users.

I recommend that you find a thread for your phone (on your device's subforum - see this list of links or use XDA's search). There you'll find other users with the same phone as you, the best versions, settings, etc.

Export/Import Settings/Configs:

ARCore, AR Stickers, and Playground:
Follow these instructions (provided by @starcms) to use ARCore, Arnova's modded Stickers/Playground, and other 3rd party apps:

tl;dr:
- Android 8+;
- 64 bit only;
- Supported devices can install ARCore from the Play Store, but still need a modified version of Stickers/Playground;
- Unsupported devices need to manually install ARCore, modded Stickers/Playground, and install a fix/way to enable ARCore;

Thank you so much for the new build! Only problem I'm facing is when launching camera from lock screen via double tap power button, camera fails to start every time and says " To function properly, Camera needs your permission. Unlock your device and go to Settings to allow permission for Camera."

You are doing well brother keep on ..

Everything working smoothly well on nokia 7 plus too
Issues that I found on nokia 7 plus :
-Photobooth still crashing while proccessing and photo not saved.
-Slowmo still crashing too.
-Image Quality has noise when you zoom in photo and it like painted photo when zoom only .
-front cam shows 4mp instead of 16mp

Night mode not working on Xiaomi Mi 5s running Lineage OS 16. Viewfinder is working, but the pictures taken look like HDR+ Enhanced instead of Night Sight (which is working on previous releases). Tnks for the mod

perfect work on Oneplus 6 Devices.
now you just need to fix the fact that it uses 12mx and not 16mx and it will be perfect.
because for the night mode is fine, but as regards the day loses resolution against the stock room of oneplus due, in fact, of the resolution.
if you can fix this thing I can officially replace the oneplus camera with your app

Viewfinder with night shot on my U11+ is still black, but it works.
Also the front camera is green when u take a pic.

You can replace already stock, check it is 16.3MP

no i can't, at moment only stock oneplus camera is better in "light" / "day" / "sun" scene.

obviously I have conducted tests are not just these photos but multiple
