hi , i get this problem when double-click to add xml. ( Device out of storage )
On my oneplus7pro, Andoid 11
You need to grant access to all files and not just media files for the camera app. It will not ask it so you need to long press the app, choose i or whatever your launcher suggests to see application information and there you should be able to modify rights.

Also you need to have GCam\Configs8 or similar path already on the phone where camera app can select config file.

I am just a user and I have a question.
Can I request to the developers of my device manufacturer to add codes
to fix dot pattern (very noticeable on yellow) in GCam mods?
Or is this a kind of things that can only be done by the GCam modders?
because there is no twrp for my device and no dotfix module.

Realme X2 Pro
Is it possible to enable restart when switching lenses? Otherwise ram patcher is useless for aux lenses and front cam.
@Arnova8G2 To repeat, so hopefully someone can clarify this. Am I doing something wrong here? Using the Realme X2 Pro.

Btw, there's one more thing that's bothering me, and it's been like that since forever. The timestamp in the filenames is wrong, it's showing GMT time instead of my local/phone time. Is it possible to change this?

I'm on Arnova's Gcam 7.3.021 mod on OP3T Lineage OS 17.1 (Android 10). Absolutely amazing mod and I'm very grateful, but I have one question. Is there any way to prevent the camera app from reading thermals? When the phone is at all warm (eg. if it's been in my pocket for a while), the camera app won't even allow me to focus, let alone use the flash or anything else. I would certainly rather have a warm phone with a fully working camera when I need it.

    I don't think so. I'm not even sure if it's GCam that checks the temperature or if it's the OS that stops the camera from working. Does it also happen with other camera apps or only with GCam?

    In any case, that's not supposed to happen when the phone is warm. My old OP3 spends most time using the DreamLab app, which heats up the phone a lot (more than being in a pocket), and the camera works fine.

    Can it be a bad camera module? The OnePlus 3 and 3T camera module is known to fail after a while. The main symptom is not being able to focus (I don't know if it also affects the flash). The only way to fix it is to replace the module (costs 5-10 dollars on Aliexpress). Some people mentioned that hitting the side of the phone (eg: with your hand) to move the stuff inside the module fixes the problem temporary.

    Also, make sure you're not using "instantaneous HDR+" option (GCam Settings > Advanced) as it is very demanding and generates a lot of heat on older hardware. And if the phone is hotter than it should be but the battery seems fine, then maybe you should try a factory reset.

    Thank you for the quick reply. I did have Instantaneous HDR+ turned on (it's so convenient!) but I just turned it off and things do appear to be working better, thanks for the suggestion. I'll circle back if I still have any issues.

    I don't think it's the camera module-- I just switched from OxygenOS Pie to LOS 17.1 a couple weeks ago, and that's exactly when the problems started.

    I'm surprised that we don't have a way to control thermal mitigation on a per-app basis in Android 10. That would be a really nice feature!

    A good way to get quick photos and still benefit from HDR+ Enhanced is to use less frames. Not as fast as instantaneous HDR, but better than HDR+ On and without the heat issues from instant HDR.

    On Arnova's version, enable HDR+ Enhanced and set Image Quality to OFF:

    Screenshot-20210501-230355814.png

    On Urnyx05/Wichaya, select less frames:

    Screenshot-20210501-230627414.png

    Regarding LOS, it's the same build for the 3 and 3T, and I'm not having those issues. 17.1 was very stable (18.1 has some issues). But it's better to discuss this on the LOS thread.

    Hi guys, recently I bought a phone with ultrawide camera but I can't find a gcam that has an option for Edge distortion correction. Has ever been a gcam that had this option?
    I'm sorry for the offtopic question.
    Thanks!

      Arnova8G2 shared a *test* version that supports 8K video and higher resolutions for photos:

      - Version without blacklist (for 8k and super resolution tests)
      - 8K for devices with a 48MP sensor and a recent SOC or more 12GB of ram memory
      - HDR10 video only for recent devices
      - Super resolution in raw for oneplus device (7 and 8 series for moment)
      - Super resolution in jpeg for all devices, similar to stock camera ( works on portrait on many devices )

      - GCam_6.1Beta.210615.1542build-8.1.101

      Again, this is a test version, expect bugs.

      There's no option for that on GCam.
      Yeah there's no option but there's always a way 😀. Setting the Base model for the ultrawide to Pixel 5 fixes this issue.

      I installed this apk
      Snap_GCam_6.210329.0153build-8.1.101.apk (org.codeaurora.snapcam)
      from https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/f/dl0/

      when I double click to load an .xml, it says "device out of storage"

      I have a oneplus 8 pro with plenty of storage space

      Any idea?
      You need to manually add All Files/Folders Storage Permission before opening.

      I've tried searching and I can only find a single post of someone asking, but is there a way to disable the auto night sight feature on this mod? Having to toggle off night sight is really killing the experience

      Google Camera Port
      by @Arnova8G2

      This is a support thread for apks created by Arnova8G2. Here you'll find basic instructions on how to use this port and how to properly report bugs.

      Compatibility:
      - The camera2 api needs to be enabled;
      - Most versions only work on Snapdragon SoCs, but some work on Kirin and Exynos processors;
      - 64 bit ROMs are a requirement;
      - Doesn't work on phones without RAW support (eg: some Sony devices);
      - Newer versions may work only on new Android versions. Old versions might be better for old Android versions;

      Known issues:
      - FAQs and troubleshooting

      - Slow motion is broken on some phones and Android versions;
      - Some devices have issues with their front cameras (eg: OnePlus 3/3T, 5/5T). You may have to install a fix (if available for your phone) or disable HDR+ on the front camera (setting only available on some apks);
      - Features on new Google Camera versions may take some time to be ported;

      How to report bugs:
      If possible, post on a thread for your phone (check this list or your phone's forum) or here if you can't find a thread for your phone. Please describe the issue and give details about your setup:

      - Phone, ROM, any fixes installed;
      - Name of the apk you're using;
      - Screenshots or video recordings of the bug if you're able to;
      - A logcat if there's a crash (How to save a logcat: video guide, advanced guide);
      - Steps to reproduce the bug/crash;
      - Mention @Arnova8G2 username;

      - Your report will be ignored if no logs or a good explanation is provided.
      - Arnova8G2 will do his best to fix bugs, but keep in mind that this is a free port and he also has his personal life.

      Example of a report:
      @Arnova8G2 Portrait mode crashes on my OnePlus 3 running LineageOS 15.1 (Android 8.1). I'm using "GCam_Pixel3Mod_1.1_build.6.1.013.apk".
      To reproduce, open the app, go to portrait mode using the front camera, and take a picture.
      Here's the crash log: <google drive link>
