Question.
If I disable bixby with package disabler, can I still use this app?
Or this relies on the other service being active for it to work?

Great to hear that! It does work on lockscreen/always on display but limited of course - like you can't launch an App while your phone is locked, is there a specific use case for you?
Camera shutter, may be/may be not, will look into it.

Maybe it doesn't work because I did'nt use bixby (haven't set it up) - on key press on lock screen or AOD I got the message:
"Hello Bixby not yet set up. To use Hello Bixby, unlock phone, then press Bixby key again to start setup."

Otherwise app works great! Hoping to hear about camera shutter

Hi! There is a note about it in some post earlier in this thread as well as on the Google Play Store:

NOTE 2: If you decide to disable packages related to Bixby, make sure you leave the following packages active for BixBye to work:

com.samsung.android.bixby.agent
com.samsung.android.app.spage

That would be absolutely the reason, you do need to set-up Bixby for BixBye to work.

Hi, I installed BixBye last night this morning my Google Assistant isn't working. Idk if there's a connection, but it's the only thing I've done differently. Had this happened with any one else?

Update: After one day of working, it srarted to open the Weather app, I tried to switch it off then on, I also tried to change the action, but the issue still there, anyone faced something like this?

Sorry about my review. I genuinely thought it was a scam. Edited the review accordingly.. Are there other people having problem with the tasker settings? It is not reacting at all when I click the Bixby button.

Is there any way you could change the app so that it dosen't block pin on boot?

Once you have setup the accessibility service for this app, go back to secure pin on boot up and re-enable it and it should work, it's just initially it disables it when enabling the service but once enabled again it sticks ?

Ok .. call me and idiot but when i selected Assistant it prompted an action of "Default app" between Google and Bixby .. i pressed Bixby by mistake and I can't seem to be able to change it back!

For me it was stuck on "Can't reach Google" or something like that but it worked itself out.. just close & open

Hello. I will be getting the T-Mobile S8 and have a question. I want to remap the Bixby button to the flashlight. Will it work if the screen is off? For example if my phone is face down with the screen off can I just tap the Bixby button to toggle the flashlight on and off? Or does the screen have to already on? Thanks

Hi! Calling out all users on the latest T-Mobile (or another affected) update, please PM me your Skype ID and availability (with timezone.) To try out new workarounds for this update. Sooner or later similar updates will be rolled out to all S8, S8+ users. Any help would be much appreciated!
