i have a folder set up with the layout to where all the png's are and i just use zip on my pc, drop the res folder into zip and it replaces the pngs. put it in apk manager to sign and drop it into dropbox.

I have a res folder with the 3 folders in it and the file names of all the png's needing to be replaced. How are you having that single image replace all 9 and still retain all of their file names? no i meant i have a res folder and inside has the 3 folders that have the 9 pngs. they are one 2 different sizes so when i make one img i make it the on the big size. copy them enough times and place them in the correct folders and then make the smaller ones and do the same with placement. then take the apk and open archive.
and just drop the res folder into the open 7zip and it will replace everything that was on my desktop in the apk. then i just sign it.
Oh well you are doing exactly what I'm doing then
Only you're using a different method to sign then I am.

do what i do. i set up the fold structures for all the pngs and then i just copy all 3 folders and drop them into the apk. it makes it supper fast.
Hah, yeah but currently my brain is super fried ftom getting jdk, sdk, adb, eclipse, and repositories set up correctly om ubuntu
