[APP][DEV] S5 Camera [WIP]

This is the Samsung Galaxy S5 Camera working-ish on the Galaxy Note 3 N9005.

EXPERIMENT WITH DIFFERENT KERNELS FOR FULL FUNCTIONALITY

Requirements:

• S5 ROM by Obi xD
• compatible Kernel
• SamsungCamera3.apk Located HERE
• Root File Manager
• Basic Skills

Installation Steps: Follow Carefully!

1. Install a S5 Rom by Obi xD (latest version)
2. Install a compatible Kernel.
3. Open the old Camera App found in the rom
4. Open Main camera settings and set resolution to 6MP
5. Turn off flash
6. Close Camera App
7. Open file explorer and enter /system/app
8. Locate SamsungCamera2.apk AND rename it to SamsungCamera.apk.bak
9. Copy SamsungCamera3.apk to /system/app AND Set permissions
10. Reboot device
11. Launch new Camera, SUCCESS!

WARNING: You can only choose back camera resolution of 6, 8 or 2 MP or the camera will crash and you have to redo the steps above.


THIS APP IS LIMITED IN FUNCTIONALITY, IT CAN ONLY RECORD FRONT FACING CAMERA VIDEO AT THE MOMENT, AND CAN TAKE FRONT/BACK PICTURES NO VIDEO RECORDING IS POSSIBLE. FLASH IS BROKEN.

DO NOT USE THE "VIRTUAL TOUR" MODE


Now someone needs to figure out how to make it record video and use the 13MP resolution.

Do read the thread though, it doesn't save the pics and that has to be fixed first. It does save front facing video and that's about it.

That's even more awesome I used the ND3 kernel for the test.
