I have a Samsung s22 and a galaxy watch 4. Dynamic spot is often given me notifications about the watch connecting via Bluetooth even when I have the phone in my hand and I'm wearing the watch.
Not sure if indeed the watch is disconnecting and reconnecting like a maniac, not that I can tell or something in the Bluetooth connection makes dynamic spot it's a new connection and raise a notification

Any way to optimize app battery useage...uses low of 2 percent per hour to up to 9. Not using persistent notch or even opening app. Pixel 6 on Android 13. Appears keeping awake in background could be cause??
Hey, bought the pro version for a while now and gotta say it's really useful and cool. I do have some minor suggestions
- An option to offset the expanded notification from the popup would be useful, that way people can have it below the status bar if they want it to
- In OneUI's brief notifications, you can have the pop-up emit an effect like having a small pulse emit from the popup. If you could implement that for this version that'd be cool.
- I'd like to reorder the live activities tiles, so I can group them
If you use music visualizer a lot e.g. this can consume some energy. But normally battery usage is not noticable
Not using music visualizer or live activities...mainly just text, clock or calendar notifications.
I too face the same issue.
And no I don't think it's like the watch is disconnecting and reconnecting. It's more like the app goes idle when phone is idle for some time and when the screen is turned on again the app runs again and thereby detects the BT connection again.
Probably because phone is restricting the running app in background.

The watch may disconnect to save energy. When theres a phone event, the phone connects to the watch to update its data.
dynamicSpot only listenes to Bluetooth connected or disconnected state.
Will investigate if theres a workaround
Why is the music notification persistent? I have tried both PowerAMP and Spotify apps and the notification never goes away even if I have set it up to make the notifiacation dissapear after 5 seconds. Is it intended? Restarting does not fix the problem.

This happens if the app icon cannot be loaded. what apps do have the dynamicSpot icon?
when you replied i was checking what app was those. but live activites didn't open for my first time. restarted and got it back, and dynamicspot icons change randomly. also i got my apps on live activities disabled. i will reselect them and after i got that problem again i will reply what apps are these.
Anyone else noticed the auto-hide when in foreground function doesn't work properly since v1.56? 9/10 times the small equalizer keeps being displayed when I'm in the Spotify app.
i got dynamicspot icons again, the apps that don't load are from my SD Card. its Telegram and shad. shad is only available in my country

4Hey there, the app is fantastic. I tried it when it first came out and took a break from it. Coming back you've added so many useful features that make it feel way more natural.
For additional appearance options, would it be possible to add the ability to customize the small popup vs the expanded popup. For example, I'm on an S22U that has pretty squared off corners of the screen. When I'm small popup, the more rounded corners look great but when it expands it doesn't match the radius of the screen so it looks weird.
It would be great to adjust the radius of the smaller popup and the expanded popup separately to match the screen design more closely. I could also see it being beneficial to allow adjusting the spacing on the sides of the expanded to allow more room between the popup and the bezels when expanded.

Like, keep the dynamic spot in the camera place and rotate icons and so depending on which side of the phone is facing to the ground or something. Nice work by the way

multi notification support may get added in a future release, but as the app is used on the fly you will normally no have too many paralles notification3I have another suggestion idea, albeit likely more complex to develop, it could be very useful... Since basically every app can be put in the Live Activities drawer, there could be a separate page in that drawer that shows the most recently used/closed apps, kind-of like how it works on a modern iPad/MacOS dock, and you could swipe the existing app row to the left or right to reveal that page. This isn't an actual iPhone 14 Pro feature, but it would make going through recent apps a lot faster than using many gestures to type the app name in3

with the release of iPhone 14 Pro Apple introduced Dynamic Island.
As i already created a notification light app for Samsung or Pixel phones (aodNotify) i tried to port the app to something like Dynamic Island.
In android we have no camera islands, but camera spots / cutouts. So that's when dynamicSpot was born
With dynamicSpot you can easily get the iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island feature on your device! dynamicSpot gives you Dynamic Island's mini multitasking feature, making it easier to access recent notifications or phone events.
Just tap on the little black popup to open the displayed app, long press the popup to expand it and view more details.
iPhone's Dynamic Island is not customizable, but dynamicSpot is! You can change interaction settings, select when to show or hide the popup or which apps should appear.
As dynamicSpot uses Android's notification system it is compatible with almost all apps, like messaging notification, timer apps and even music apps!
So if you e.g. start a timer, dynamicSpot will show you the running time.
The app is in a public beta currently and will be further optimized. Animations may not be super smooth and not all apps be compatible currently.
