What's the name of that awesome song playing on the car radio? Find out with EchoWear Song Search without pulling out your phone and getting distracted while driving. EchoWear Song Search utilizes your Android Wear device's microphone to record a segment of a song and uploads it to Gracenote (http://www.gracenote.com/) for identification. The results will be displayed on your Android Wear device and your phone. Enjoy the audio expert that's right on your wrist.

NOTES:
* To start the app on your Android Wear device with your voice, say "Start Echo Search"
* The results notification might be added to the end of your Android Wear context stream so you might have to scroll down to see it
* For best results, point Android Wear device towards audio source and remain as still as possible

Features coming soon:
- Retry action on Android Wear

- G+ group: https://plus.google.com/communities/118358574599658423356
- Google Play Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.TwinBlade.echowearsongid

Great idea man!

This is actually much more practical than pulling out device. I look forward to using it in different scenarios to see how well the mic on the Gwatch is working.

Edit:

WOW! Super accurate. I even threw it some curveballs with some weird songs at low volume with a windows Air Conditioner on quite loud. Impressive!

Icon could use a makeover though ;)

Link is still working fine.
Why do you say this? There is NO link to the EchoWear app... if you have it please upload it...

Just to humor you:
This is a link to the google+ page where there is no download link; people are asking how to download but can't find it:
https://plus.google.com/communities/118358574599658423356

This is a link to GraceNote:
http://www.gracenote.com/

This link does NOT work:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.TwinBlade.echowearsongid

There is no other link that "works":

I'm literally downloading it as I type. Via the above Play link.

This forum wont allow me to post a link to a screenshot.

Where's your proof? Liar.

I just explained that the forums here do not allow me to post links as my account is too new. Why is it so hard to believe that someone is telling the truth about something so mundane?

The following errors occurred with your submission:
To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!

Because the timestamp on that picture is old.

A google search brings up no play link:
https://www.google.com/search?q=ech...3.4475j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

A play search bring up nothing:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=echowear song search&hl=en

I'm telling you that app is gone, if you have the .apk I can repost it

Tough crowd here.

That screenshot was from the first time I tried to reply with it.

Here's some video proof: https://vimeo.com/108078183

I'm new to Android. A quick Googling tells me that its available to me because I've previously downloaded it while it was up.

If there's interest, I will research how to pack it into an .APK and share it here.

Sorry for the long delay for this update guys! I've been in a country where anything Google and most western websites are blocked for the past month or so. I just uploaded V1.3 to the play store and it should be available for download in a few hours.

    Changes for V1.3:
    - Add round display (Moto 360 etc.) support
    - Make UI a little prettier

Again I apologize for the long wait!

p.s. Any feedback on Moto 360 would be appreciated since I don't have a round Android wear device to test on

Any update on the app? It still is not showing in the app store. I would love to try it out. :good:
