All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!

This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? ;) .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.

Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.

Found out about this app today and I absolutely LOVE it! I left a 5 star in the google play store for you 😉

Just one quick question, what does transparent background do? I have checked and unchecked it and went through some of my apps but I can't tell what it does...

Been using this for a few months now on my 4a works like a charm. Make sure you kill battery optimization or it'll get killed by the system trying to save power. It uses next to no CPU/resources. Def. a 5 star app. Setting up the power levels for each color can be a little tricky...no big deal tho.

I like it! Thanks for putting in the time to make this work on so many devices.

Is there a way to remove the native Android battery indicator from the notification bar?

there is! go Settings -> System -> System UI Tuner -> Status bar -> Battery and select "Don't show this icon". a really nice look, imo.

now if we could only get rid of the bottom bar too...

I spoke too soon. I'm using Android 12 beta on this device and those settings don't exists (anywhere I can find, anyway) on this os version.

oh yeah i think it's hidden by default and the method to unhide it has varied over the years. there are a couple different ways on android 12 by the looks (i'm on beta 3) but imo the easiest is just to install this guy:

that will just direct you straight to the menu.

I have a 4a running custom ROM (dirty unicorn), it's telling me my device isn't compatible. Do you have a link to download outside of play store so I can try it out?

Assuming it works on custom ROM.

Update: Fixed the issue of System turning off Accessibility Service of Energy Ring frequently, it was a Android System Level bug, a workaround has been deployed successfully, let me know if Energy Ring is stable again for you! :)

P.S. I am flooded with emails and messages, apologies if I couldn't reply all!
