Of course we use HTC not a PIXEL phone so have on mind that this use RAM the calculation the HDR+ so of course is not good idea to shoot non stop one after another instant non stop.

Slow shutter speed mode limits iso level. Is it only on my device (HTC 10)?
i.e. you can't do informative night photo 'cos 1 sec exposure with only 816 iso is not enough for very lowlight while with 6528 it would be just right. Default shutter even better (not in crops but in generally).

I am getting a HTC 10 after using Nexus 5x for a while now, I like its HDR+ feature.
Which camera app supports HDR+ nicely on HTC 10 ? I would be using stock Oreo, no root, no custom rom.

Please let me know. Stock camera app supports HDR only, and shooting 4K videos ?

1. Back Camera Crash in Low Light like befor with Pixel ZSL HDR+
Logcat Atached.

2. Front Camera Crash in low light like befor with Pixel ZSL HDR+
Logcat Atached.

3. When Enable Improve Sharpness we got the Artificial Purple/Pink things.

4. If enable "Ïmprove in Low Light" when i shoot with the back camera im reciving always a Purple Tint on all the photo

Note: In the previous build Test3 that you provide the Low Light Switch was working fine without Purple Tint.

From the very 1st build of PixelMod on 22.01 ive spot this BackCamera crash problem in low light since then here in the thread are about 6 logcats this problem was never addressed. the Flash Behaviour.

In the FINAL version v 6 all the Bugs are same like they are in the Above post.

I appreciate what you did and all the reports, but the problem with your device is the API2 which was badly built.
I give a similar example the camera OP3 can not use pixel 2017, because of that it has too much light there is a fc.
There are some bug that I can solve and other must modiffier the libs of the API2. The problem of the pink hues I tried the resoudres but there is a risk of losing the quality of hdr +.
now that version 6 is finished I would take more time with your device to solve what is possible.

In other Builds i know few that Pixel ZSL HDR+ working perfectly fine with us in all situation and perfectly fine in low light with the flashlight.

The only crash is with the Pixel2Mod versions from the very begining.

So if is something regarding the Pixel2 Base as i think because Cstrike used the same Pixel2 Base for his Base work and we got the same crash using Cstrike or any other version that use the Base your Pixel2Mod.

for example im able to decompile the App in smali and to see the source code Java but i dont know what editings you do in order Portrait Mode to work.

For example i know obe BSG latest Build that everything work Perfectly fine like Back and Front shooting in all scenarios with HDR+ ZSL

Recording Slow Mo and Videos Panorama and so on.

The only thing doesnt work is Portrait because it is made to be used on a Mi5 5S u know B_S-G so my question is

if the Pixel2Mod based cannot work on our device because of this Flashlight Behaviour.

Yes Sure:

All Models Work for us PIXEL, PIXEL 2 and PIXEL 2 XL i prefer Pixel 2 XL i dont know why but i like it and its fast.

For HDR+ i use only Pixel 2017 ZSL HDR+ this is the best Option if you wana shoot with ZSL.

HDR+ i use SUPER HIGH because i love it.

Incresse the Detail of the HDR + front camera - I always enable this switch because It make wonders in a good Light Incredible Front Facing Camera Images with vivid colors.

Minimal HDR+ Smoothing = Dont use it because doesnt work well with us after the finishing of the HDR+ processing you got a Purple Dots Artifacts the same one that i get in Your Pixel2Mode if Enable Improve SHarpness.

Max Sensitivity Analog gain: I dont use it just leave it AUTO well its work good and can be used if someone wish to use it but im on Auto.

This is Important.
Black Level Settings:
For HTC All to work normal the Front Facing Cam Value have to be 64 by Default. if you want good colors.

it is the same default for the Back all the colors are stock 64.


Like i say everything Works the video recordings the correct frame recording the Shooting only the Portrait give a Black Screen.

To be even easy for you

I test all Gcam ports here on XDA and all from 4pda.

The best version with the minimum Bugs is

Why i say this is most better better than the last official.

Here in your version only the problem with the low light Flash Crash is present and only is enable Improve SHarpness i got problems like Artificial Purple dots.

Other than that everything work fine, also the Nexus configs work in low light conditions without problems.

And eve enabling the Low light improvements didnt have Purple TINT like in the official latest v6 Build.

I can capture all Logs again in case you need some more detailed or recreate the Bug.

So if the version latest based on BSG https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog80/

MGC_5.1.018_v2e_tolyan009_v1.2.apk get the same portrait settings

like in this version of yours : Arnova's 5.1.018_v1.6:

we gona have fully working Port with Pixel settings that work.

Or Oposite witch is better i think because your Pixel2Mod is much more faster overal and cleaner better in speed.

Oposite just the Pixel ZSL HDR+ preset from Tolyann to be Added to your Pixel2Mod in this case we will be able to use

Pixel2Mod in all scenarios Low light as well without Crash with that config.

Well not exactly in order to have stable version when we test version we have to push it to the test the Latest Build that you are using have exactly 4 Bug problems one of them is critical and crash the app.
If you furthe test and do a Low Light photos!
Anyway this is know problem and the Developer know about all this 4 Bugs.

Selfie pictures with flash don't work on stock Oreo, the screen goes white to simulate the flash but remains stuck that way, no picture is taken and I must force close the app.

Yes like stated above its a know bug this is most nasty bug because force crash the app and in this case the app is not stable so we can use it but only in good light and if the camera decide the light is low you cannot take any pictures!

Will ask you polite if you find any other problem or just reporting a bug to mention the Developer of the Gcam Arnova Build this will be much more helpfull he to try to fix that problem and we to have a final woring version.

Front Facing Camera in Low light Work on Regular and Portreit as well using the Pixel ZSL config. FRONT IS FIXED!!! Thanks

Only crash with the Back camera i catch the log! now only this is the problem

and also when enable improve photo in low light i get this Purple TINT in the previous versions of the V6 Final test this low light was working fine!

I think this is because the Back is set to different Black Color value in 64 set for back and front we dont have purple tint.

Minor Bugs are if you set the Auto Explosure MOD to different tha AUTO in all COnfigs when the flashlight have to be used you will recive greenish tint on the whole photo If i leave it to Auto then all is fine! This is a minor bug but for now this Explosure mod is not usable i test Fast Slow and Slow Shutter.


To help you out like i sayd by Default Front and Back Camera like the default settings 64 everywhere.

I think this color tints are minor Bugs most important is the Back Crash

I push it even in HDR+ Exnchaged and also in Slow Shutter More in DARK ROOM always is working and the results are Superb Image quality of the front camera.

So the Back Camera Flash crash is only for Back regular Photos in POrtrait always works!

The Back is a litle more yellow i guess this is how it should be with the Back Senzor lens.

your testing and reporting efforts are much appreciated, but just to ask..... am I the only one having back camera lagging issue specially with portrait mode? This started with V6 final and this latest version.....
