Slow motion in Google Camera doesn't work so far on any Google camera build with the Note 4, you can use Miui Camera for slow motion however, a port from the A1.

The other features all work, i would use the Builds mentioned just a few posts back, that have the crash fix in the name

Edit: this is the one i use

Any way to start fingerprint camera shutter?
In the original camera, I used a magisk module to use it.

I'm confused, why are people recommending the R5Plus versions instead of R4X? Surely it's better to use a version that's actually built for our phones, no?

R4X is actually Redmi 4X. Our phone is the Redmi Note 4X which is a different phone.

The Note 5 version is simply the most stable one for our phone. Just install it and use it, there's no need to change any settings

Thanks for clarifying.

Personally I'm using GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.1 and it works perfectly, zero crashes.

Redmi Note 4 Global Version, Snapdragon
MIUI 9.6.2.0
No root, no custom recovery, no custom rom (obviously :) ) all stock.

What do I need to do, to get google camera?
Do I have to set up camera2api? Do I have to flash TWRP, unlock bootloader etc. to make it work? (if so, the next step I think is to flash a custom rom also, even though I kinda use and got to like miui).
What do you propose?

Could you provide a link to the Apk you're using?!
I tried the Apks for the Note 5 and Note 5 Pro, both got parsing errors while trying to install them.

Tried it ... crashes right after I tap on the icon to start the camera app.

Which ROM are you actually using?

Guys, anyone is getting purple/pink hue on the edge of the photos? Especially on low light/high contrast scene where gcam has to brighten up dark areas. It seems to happen on every version of gcam. Sample photo attached. I'm hoping this isn't a hardware issue

will be added in future the miui 10 support on gcam?
I don't think so. It's up to Xiaomi, not the port developers

Tried a few versions, including the R5Plus fix version recommended in this thread.
Having a Redmi Note 4 with Samsung sensors.

Pictures taken in good lighting conditions are pretty good, with light getting lower they start to get worse.

When taken in the dark, I actually get red and blue speckles all over the picture - anyone else having this?
I'm only reading about the pink tint here and there, but haven't found any info on these red/blue speckle issue...

Anyone?

Could you show some of the examples of the red/blue speckles? I think i've seen some of it but when I use HDR+ Enhanced, it'd almost be gone. I'm using Arnova's v8.2 now
