Strangely I am able to fix it by clearing data and enabling option for using Samsung Pay (even though I don't and have it disabled.) I guess whatever option you are toggling with that prompt is the culprit!
Pls send me list of emulators app you use. Thank you.Tribalfs is there any chance you can make an exception list for emulators built in to the app? No Tasker needed kind of thing. I would like to use the 46hz minimum but it brakes emulators causing them to lag not being able to hit full 30fps or 60fps when 48hz is enabled. I really would like to see an inbuilt solution.
RetroArch, Citra MMJ, Citra, Dolphin MMJR, Dolphin MMJ, Dolphin, PPSSPP, Drastic, Skyline, Egg NS, Play!, Mirage and a few other well knowns besides that. Those are the main IMPORTANT ONES. I would greatly appreciate this and it will also improve overall user experience.
Check v7.10.21, I made some fixes related to this.Thanks. The reason I'm still doing this now (in latest GMH version) is because I still notice the reading is 60.000x Hz in Force lowest HZ (after screen off for sometime then on) when I'm on standard refresh mode. Probably because sometimes the automated power saving + standard refresh mode tasks kick in when my phone screen is off and idle and GMH is not able to force it to 48Hz by then. Not sure. But right now I will live with this, not a big issue
I tested nova launcher and adaptive mode is working when launching and closing app.
v7.10.21 is just the same as v7.10.20 but with minor fixes on sliders behavior. v7.10.21 should be better - try to clear app data if you are experiencing issues after update.
Don't use the built-in screen recorder, IT WILL ALWAYS LOCK TO 60HZ DURING RECORDING. Check FAQs on the recommended screen recording app and also show your gmh settings in the screen recording. Also first check if you disabled appear on top permission, that can be the cause.
Your app is bugged on S20 FE on Adaptive mode. Zooming in and out from Recent Apps screen and scrolling between apps with the buttons on there is locked to 60hz, when my finger touches the screen anywhere else it pops up to 120hz. Appear on top is enabled ... I'll re record with your favourite app today.Don't use the built-in screen recorder, IT WILL ALWAYS LOCK TO 60HZ DURING RECORDING. EDIT: you can see that recents and back button don't trigger Adaptive yes? Clean install, cleared data etc etc etc ...
That's not Nova Launcher which I think may be the issue.I am not able to reproduce issues you are experiencing on my S20 FE 5G.
I always do a clean install, i.e. uninstall previous app and reinstall new version and setup again. Note that "clearing data" seems to still provide issues for me, strange?. Also, I do not use the "show real-time refresh rate" from the app as I have found it to behave erratically in the past and I use the system refresh rate instead.
Do you have different max hz settings for PSM and non-PSM? Maybe PSM switches on reboot.I just installed the app on my Note 20 Ultra and it seems to work until my phone restarts. I have it set for 96hz max, and after a restart, the phone goes back to 120hz. I then have to open the app, push the slider control to 120, then back to 96 to "jump start it! I removed and reinstalled the app, but it does the same thing.
This is only available to devices with no native samsung adaptive refresh rate support.
Do you use a third party overlay app that launches when any games is open? That is most likely the culprit on the GMH's game detection. Try to disable that and see if it fixes it. If it is, pls share the what overlay app is that so I can add it to the ignore list. When I switch the adaptive mode, the game scene stops moving and the FPS will drop to 48. When I turn on the movement, it will return to the maximum update rate of the game. It is very troublesome to bounce back and forth between 48 and 90.

I did not activate the option in the game tool and did not turn on the priority mode

When I switch from adaptive mode to high mode, the game runs at maximum update rate full time

The app does not switch res on its own.
Are you on the latest version? I included in the latest workarounf/fix on Hz monitor delay when hz is going down. That other app I think is also my app.Hello, I installed this app on my S21+ Exynos and i set it on 96Hz and i can clearly see that it drops to 60Hz all the time even thought the app shows that i am on 96Hz.
I double checked with another app called fps meter and it confirmed that i am on 60hz (on the right) and not on 96hz (on your left) as "Galaxy Max Hz" app indicates. And yes it totaly feels like 60Hz that's why i installed another app so i can be 100% sure, this is not 96hz.

You can disable it separately. Long press in the notification panel and just disable for GMH (See attached screenshot)Just a minor hiccup with this app at the moment but in the older versions of max Hz, Appear to draw over apps permission notification in the shade can be disabled without being stuck at 60hz on adaptive (not sure if it's a bug) but in the latest version, it will be stuck at 60hz whenever the permission is disabled and cannot be hidden without actually disabling it.
I know the newer versions require draw-over permission to work. However, since the notification of the draw-over apps is bundled to system notifications, is there a way to hide the notification without cluttering up the notification shade? If not, I plan to downgrade back to older versions for stability and no reliant on draw-over permission for the adaptive mode to function normally. Thanks

@tribalfs Thanks for all your work, amazing app!
I'm having some issue with S21 ultra v6.61 the app is detecting my lowest hz differently each time sometime it detects 60 sometimes 120 (although the actual should be 10).
Also is there an option to set a specific hz for certain app?
Same here, I think the dev mentioned that screen profiles aren't being loaded properly but the link seems to be broken to the update that fixes the issue. All we can do is be patient for now. I tried to get back 48hz by wiping and uninstalling but that broke adaptive for me as well
