I have this bug on S21 fe that when the battery mod is toggled. It doesn't have any problem stopping the charging of the device when reached the threshold set but the problem is that when I use the device until let say 30% and I want to charge the phone again, when I plug it to its charger, it actually wont let the device charge like it is stuck on 30%. My workaround for this is to power off the device while charging. I also tried toggling the battery mod off & force stopped the app but no luck. Hope you can fix this issue soon.

Thanks!

This is not an issue of battery mod. The built-in charge limiter (that is used by the app) can only stop battery charge at 80% or higher but not lower.

Works on Galaxy S21 , Anrdoid 13, One UI 5.
Installed and run through adb, firstly PSM+ adaptive 120 Hz did not work together - but used Dex hack:
connected phone to external monitor (4k 60hz) via usb c for a 1 minute and disconnected it - instantly 120hz appeared in left top corner (turned on in dev options).
Unfortunately workaround works per 1 boot cycle - after reboot / turn off + on need to connect to dex one more time.
Anyway it's better than 60hz + psm or 120hz only - so bought full version, hope some time later the fix will be permanent.
thanks @tribalfs !

I am experiencing weird problem. So everything was working but after few updates it not going down with Hz. Refreshing is on high and can't switch to prevent that (it's blurry)
After reinstall when I want to type activation code it says " server is busy please try later" but after few clicks again it says premium without code. After that i still can't prevent from high and adaptive not working. Please help.

Edit. In misctic way i somehow fixed it.

Hey @tribalfs ,

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, as I can’t find it searching the threads either.

Any chance you could add an option to change resolution, as well as adaptive or static rates, in the per-app settings?

I think this would be an awesome feature, for e.g. opening YouTube would auto enable Adaptive 60Hz and cQHD+, then auto changing depending settings for home screen or opening a different app.

I know there is a quick settings tile which is highly convenient already, but multi tasking without having to do it manually would be a game changer.

Thank you for your top work!!

Can confirm that the mock video call method to activate high refresh rate during PSM works on One UI 5. What's weird is that I wasn't able to make it work in One UI 4.x lol. Anyway this is good. Now I can reactivate it even when I'm not at home.

Hey!
I am planning to purchase premium version just for one specific thing. Making screen frame rate in "Adaptive mode". So there are two questions:
1) Is it compatible with latest Samsung S21 FE(Snap version) firmware(A13 OneUi 5.0)?
2) Will it affect Knox and warranty void?

Thank you

Hello, few days after installing this app suspicious activity began on my phone - Google Ads and Facebook Ads started appearing without me authorizing or paying for them....

I'm not implying this app is the cause - I'm afraid I might have downloaded the Trojan infected version mentioned in first post - do you have more info on this, how this Trojan work?
My phone is not rooted, I just used the ADB command - is my phone infected now? Does the ADB command allow for such activity in theory, if the app was infected? I deleted app, it's enough in such case? Should I factory reset my phone?

Again - I'm not implying it's apps fault - maybe it's just accident that it started after installing, my accounts were maybe hacked in the meantime, just checking for any option, since it was last thing I did on my phone before my accounts started to be compromised. But again - maybe my accounts were hacked directly, I really don't know at this time.

Thank for any experiences or opinions!

If you downloaded it from link in the official XDA thread or in GMH official github, then probably it's not the app.

Btw, where are the ads appearing? Might be your internet browser.

I was probably unclear, sorry I'm not native speaker - the ad campaigns were created in my own accounts by "me" but of course I wasn't creating them nor aware of it, someone took control of my account, I just noticed charges on credit card and blocked account.
It was exactly this type of attack:
First my personal account was blocked by disturbing images and then I was blocked out business page and ads were purchased there.

Then ads started from my Google Ads account as well.

So both my Facebook profile/page and Google Ads were hacked. And I'm looking for source now, I don't know how they managed it since I have 2 factor login authorization and everything...

Haven't found this in FAQ. I've set an adaptive profile with default 24 Hz min freq. Streaming app I use still falls down to unacceptable 10 Hz on some old bw movies. Does it mean that S22 ignores exact value or min Hz array could be either 24 or 10 and one should set min value a little higher (how much?) not to fall into the lowest Hz range?

@tribalfs just got the app and great job with it. Immediately got the paid version. 1 thing tho. Is it possible to not do the psm workaround method everytime after reboot? It seems to reset it

    About this app:

    Refresh Rate Mods

    • Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
      -Quick settings shortcut
      -tasker plugin support.

    • Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
      -Tasker plugin support.

    • Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].

    • Motion smoothness on power saving mode (not working to all devices with OneUI4.**+, test first). ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]
Note: Stopped working out-of-the-box on Note 20 Ultra updated to OneUI4.*. Extra steps alread required:
Extra steps to bypass restriction on OneUI4.*/5.*. After selecting Adaptive or High in GMH while on power saving mode, do either:
    - Do a quick fake/mock video call to any number using the stock video call app(not google duo). Availability depends on network support
    OR
    - Connect and disconnect to a wifi display or miracast receiver (e.g. smart tv, chromecast, windows laptops) using the Smart View function (Credits to @albiGib and @rblckmnjr84 for sharing the discovery)
    OR
    Screen-off Mods:
    • Force to Lowest Hz: Force the lowest refresh rate on screen-off or Always-On Display(AOD). This overrides Samsung's strange stock behavior which sets the refresh rate to the highest on screen off (update: it is now at 60hz since OneUI3.0) to improve standby power consumption a bit.
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Auto apply power saving mode during screen-off (after ~ 10 secs)***

    • Auto disable Autosync***

    • Quick-doze mod
      -
Quickly enter doze mode during screen-off that can not be interrupted by motion [premium].***
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Auto SENSORS OFF (experimental non-root workaround)
-Device sensors will automatically turn off while screen is off until the device is unlocked to help minimize battery-draining motion-triggered wakelocks while device is not being used.
      -Tasker plug-in support

      - Supports up to OneUI4.1 only (api blocked in OneUI5)

    Others
    • Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]

    • Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
      -Tasker plugin support

Caution!! Be careful on applying CQHD+ on Note20Ultra with OneUI4.* - it causes the UI to shrink after reboot or long sleep that causes difficulty on entering the lockscreen.

    • Customizable refresh rate monitor
      -
Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
      -Tasker plugin support.

    • Net speed statusbar indicator

OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection

Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).

***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)

Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .

    Info:
This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.

If google play protect will prompt during install that the app is built for older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections, you can ignore it and proceed to the installation. For privacy related concern, please refer to FAQ No. 3.

    - Added support for Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra and S20FE. Resolution switcher is not applicable to S20 FE.
    - Renamed app to Galaxy Max Hz

    v4.00

    v3.00
    - Changed overlay display FPS to screen refresh rate (Hz)
    - Refresh rate monitor now switches color to red if 60hz or below and to green if above 60hz
    - Added toggle switch for refresh rate monitor on app's home screen

    v2.00
    - The 3-way toggle button and quick settings (qs) tile are now aware if the current Motion Smoothness mode is set to Adaptive or not. If not, they will show 'Standard' and will open the display settings when clicked
    - The switch for the FPS monitor overlay is moved to a new qs tile. You can now turn the FPS monitor ON/OFF anywhere without opening the app.
    - Changed text color of fps monitor from red to green. Green color has the longest lifespan in amoled, so lesser chance of amoled burn.
