Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
Beta1 installed. I cannot get 96Hz to work. Everything is set. S22U Exynos, Adaptive mode. It works on High though.

Not sure what has changed on v8 Beta1...
But the "power saving mode" is missing in the default refresh rates menu?

Installing v8 alpha10 brings back the power saving mode slider!

I am using OneUI 5.0 beta with adaptive refresh rate limited to 60Hz max with power saving mode on.

Try adjust brightness a little bit higher. On very low brightness conditions, Samsung disables 96Hz on adaptive (this is related to screen calibration). Unfortunately this is beyond control of GMH.

Oh, sorry. We thought it's not useful on OneUI5.0. Will restore it in the next update.

That's stange. We tested it on same device with OneUi4.1 and it is working as it is.
Did you switch on keep motion smoothness toggle?
Thank you.
Yes. I tried to clear cache, data and I even uninstalled the beta version and returned to the .58 stable version and gave the permission. PSM just dropped working even on .58 stable version. I remembered that I used to report you the same issue and you fixed in the build around .53. Could you please check? There must be something minor thing wrong. Thanks

Update: I have done several trouble shooting steps until I thought that I can give a try of rebooting. For whatever reason the issue has been resolved. 120hz is working on PSM.

However there is another issue I found about the option of PSM on screen off. If you enable this option and leave the screen off for more than 3 minutes then unlock the device, you will notice that the power saving mode is still applied. Please note that there is no issue if the screen off for a minute or two.

On beta release net speed indicator shows up randomly even if its turned off in settings. you have to turn it on and off to make it disappear from notification bar.

Hey Guys i installed the Galaxy Max Hz on my S21 Ultra and forced the 48Hz , my screen started to flicker whenever it switches from 120hz to 48hz , it is noticeable as a blinking in dark areas
Is it due to this APP ? or something else ?

    V8.0.0.2 in-app update:
-Fixed bug on per-app settings not being restored after turning off and turning on the screen.
Hi @tribalfs I can't seem to activate my license after changing stock rom. I donated on a U1 firmware the switched to U firmware and it still works then went back to U1 now it says invalid activation code.
    Pls try again. Thank you.
Hi thank you for this great app, I have had my Galaxy s22 ultra for 4 days now and I noticed that
The refresh rate is always 120hz even though adaptive was selected.

No matter if watching a movie or reading a text it is always 120hz and so I was looking for a solution and came across this article.
I bought the app today and am now satisfied. I want to have something from the battery for a long time
    My rate is 10-120hz 😁

And sorry for my English, I'm from Germany.

Looking forward to nice new updates. 😁
    Hi. I'm on V8, S22U Snapdragon, using OneUI 5.0 beta, 1st version.
I can't enable refresh rates >60Hz on PSM on this firmware version, whereas I was able to do so in the earlier version of Android (OneUI 4.1, A12). Any fix forthcoming?

Hello @tribalfs - any update on this?
I have the paid version of the app.

    Thank you.

    About this app:

    Refresh Rate Mods

    • Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
      -Quick settings shortcut
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].

    • Motion smoothness on power saving mode (not working to all devices with OneUI4.**+, test first). ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]

Note: It's reported that this workaround is blocked and not working in OneUi5.0 on S22 Ultra

    Screen-off Mods:
    • Force to Lowest Hz
-Force the lowest refresh rate on screen-off or Always-On Display(AOD) to improve standby power consumption a bit.

-Select refresh rate to set for AOD/screen-off[premium]
      -Tasker plugin support.

    • Auto apply power saving mode during screen-off ***

    • Auto disable Autosync***

    • Quick-doze mod
Quickly enter doze mode during screen-off that can not be interrupted by motion [premium]***
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Auto SENSORS OFF (experimental non-root workaround)
-Device sensors will automatically turn off while screen is off until the device is unlocked to help minimize battery-draining motion-triggered wakelocks while device is not being used [premium]
      -Tasker plug-in support
      - Supports up to OneUI4.* only

    • Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]

    • Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Customizable refresh rate monitor
Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Net speed statusbar indicator

OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection

Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).

***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)

Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .

This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.

If google play protect will prompt during install that the app is built for older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections, you can ignore it and proceed to the installation. For privacy related concern, please refer to FAQ No. 3.

Does this version fix android auto bug?

    Had a few thoughts:
    1. Is it possible to have an ON/OFF switch in the app?
    2. Is is possible to bypass certain apps from reducing hz? like when watching a youtube video, the framerate should not drop
I think it's fixed. Never occured on my testing.
    1. Let me check
    2. Per-app setting currently in the works
    Thank you.
This software is for older Android unfortunately.

Unfortunetly you didn't read the readme or the OP of this thread. Otherwise you would know this is done "by design". The app targets lower Android versions in order to save you from having to use adb/root for most of it's functions.
Please check v8.0.0-alpha7 update. Thank you.
    Nice! How it's working?
    All good, so far!
I noticed that the lowest refresh rate on stock was 24hz, and now with the app I am able to make it go to 10Hz, which is better 😀
