With fixed battery protect mod off and battery protection on in phone Settings somehow battery setting gets turned off at some point. Fixed battery mod always on off. Could GSM be overriding it (phone setting) ?
We're looking into it right now. Thanks.

Anyone else getting very bad screen flicker on any refresh rates besides 60 and 120hz when on Adaptive? Tried to set my minimum to 60, which got rid of most of it, but getting the same full screen flicker at 96hz. It's not subtle, but the whole screen with a very bright whiteish flicker! Just got the phone two days ago, Verizon version on May update

It's a display calibration issue.

it 60hz now the normal lowest it will show on on the AOD/screen off? I updated to the 8.0 through the app tonight and it seems to be working normally with the screen on (i see it going from 24-120 depending on the situation)
In settings I have quick doze and force lowest hz on and it always shows 60 on the the AOD and it used to drop to 10 as soon as I locked the screen with the previous version.

That's strange. No changes made on this feature since the previous betas.
It should drop to the selected AOD/screen-off refresh rate with in a second after turning off the screen.
Please try setting the AOD/screen-off refresh rate again.

Where is that option at now in the new version?
Under screen off mods I have force lowest Hz (ON)
PSM on screen-off (OFF)
Auto-Disable Sync ( OFF)
Quick Doze Mod (ON)
Auto Sensors off

at the top my default refresh rates are 24-120 for Normal and Power save, there's no option to set a rate for screen off, i figured force lowest under screen off would pick 10 but it's showing 60 when i lock the phone and it goes to AOD

Under force lowest Hz. Click that (not the switch) and it will open the options.

I went back to the last v7, no matter what i set or did with v8 it would show 10hz on the AOD when i hit power go away and then 20 mins later the AOD would have a bubble showing 60hz and never go away.
I had the setting uder AOD set like you told me to 10/lowest and then the other force set to lowest on.
Dunno, probably just a bug, i'll try it again in the future some time but I can see 7 working for me from 24-120 without slowing down on anything video

Were you from v7 when you installed v8?
If so, did you clear app's data after installing the v8 update?

Hi @tribalfs I can't seem to activate my license after changing stock rom. I donated on a U1 firmware the switched to U firmware and it still works then went back to U1 now it says invalid activation code.
    Pls try again. Thank you.

Hi thank you for this great app, I have had my Galaxy s22 ultra for 4 days now and I noticed that
The refresh rate is always 120hz even though adaptive was selected.

No matter if watching a movie or reading a text it is always 120hz and so I was looking for a solution and came across this article.
I bought the app today and am now satisfied. I want to have something from the battery for a long time
    My rate is 10-120hz 😁

And sorry for my English, I'm from Germany.

Looking forward to nice new updates. 😁

    About this app:

    Refresh Rate Mods

    • Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
      -Quick settings shortcut
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].

    • Motion smoothness on power saving mode (not working to all devices with OneUI4.**+, test first). ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]

Note: It's reported that this workaround is blocked and not working in OneUi5.0 on S22 Ultra

    Screen-off Mods:
    • Force to Lowest Hz
-Force the lowest refresh rate on screen-off or Always-On Display(AOD) to improve standby power consumption a bit.

-Select refresh rate to set for AOD/screen-off[premium]
      -Tasker plugin support.

    • Auto apply power saving mode during screen-off ***

    • Auto disable Autosync***

    • Quick-doze mod
      -
Quickly enter doze mode during screen-off that can not be interrupted by motion [premium]***
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Auto SENSORS OFF (experimental non-root workaround)
-Device sensors will automatically turn off while screen is off until the device is unlocked to help minimize battery-draining motion-triggered wakelocks while device is not being used [premium]
      -Tasker plug-in support

    Others
    • Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]

    • Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Customizable refresh rate monitor
      -
Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
      -Tasker plugin support

    • Net speed statusbar indicator

OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection

Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).

***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)

Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .

    Info:
This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.

If google play protect will prompt during install that the app is built for older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections, you can ignore it and proceed to the installation. For privacy related concern, please refer to FAQ No. 3.

Does this version fix android auto bug?

    Had a few thoughts:
    1. Is it possible to have an ON/OFF switch in the app?
    2. Is is possible to bypass certain apps from reducing hz? like when watching a youtube video, the framerate should not drop
I think it's fixed. Never occured on my testing.
    1. Let me check
    2. Per-app setting currently in the works

    Hi
This software is for older Android unfortunately.

    View attachment 5557133
Unfortunetly you didn't read the readme or the OP of this thread. Otherwise you would know this is done "by design". The app targets lower Android versions in order to save you from having to use adb/root for most of it's functions.

Please check v8.0.0-alpha7 update. Thank you.

    Nice! How it's working?
    All good, so far!
I noticed that the lowest refresh rate on stock was 24hz, and now with the app I am able to make it go to 10Hz, which is better 😀
