Yeah this is a bug, even if you accept authorisation at first, it already tried to sync and failed before that, so you have to go to sync settings and uncheck/check again so it'll sync well...

Sync mail icon doesn't work with me.
Nor me either? It actually stopped working on the old version of gmail too that's why I thought I'd try this version. The Rom I'm using is android revolution 11.3, what are you using? I wonder if it's the forced gpu rendering messing up the spinning effect or something? (Apologies if that is a total garbage idea lol)

I tried something different.
i went to sync menu in settings and tried manuelly to synchronize. Gmail asked for permission for my google account.
After this it works.

what bug we talking about!

see what I did. I renamed the original gmail.apk to gmailback.apk and then copied the new gmail app to system apps. restart the phone. boom all good. :cowboy:

EDIT: I also gave full permission to owner and group! that means read, write and execute.

problem with titanium uninstall: my fix

I couldn't uninstall with Titanium so I did the following in Titanium

1: Convert "the old gmail" to user app
2: Delete gmail the usual way.
3: Install new gmail
4: In titanium: convert "new gmail" to system app.

chazaam: pinch zooming heaven!

thanx for the app!
