Then i have simply installed google dialer 8 from apkmirror. Simply installed as every normal apk.

I can see name of people when they call me, so yeah Caller ID works

I cannot reproduce this. It even works with TeslaUnread (with Nova Launcher).
Have you made sure to give the app all permissions and system permissions? And set as Phone app?

Basically it uses the "SIM color" setting for your chosen SIM. You should be able to change it in your Android Settings, but some ROMs lack this feature. For example OnePlus' OxygenOS doesn't have this feature, so I am stuck with green too.

I'm running Nougat, so its not because of Nougat specifically. I guess it could be the ROM you are using, sadly I have no idea what is causing your issue, so I cannot do anything to fix it right now. Sorry. But I will investigate.

Samsung S6, nougat, clean install. After giving permission to call history and making calls, app closed unattendly

solution: install app, give access to contacts, next - open app->permissions, and manually give all permission, and set app as defauls for calls.
