Sorry for off topic but after reading past few comments I just had a thought. How cool would be to have on screen navigation buttons on GE rom with the physical home button set to turn on and off the on screen navigation buttons so could go full screen anytime you wanted. Hmmm....

You would need an app like in my warpdrive ROM to handle it. But it is possible. I for one don't have the time right now though.

You mean like this ?

No reason they won't work on other GE port variants.

Edit: sorry just reread your comment and realized that wasn't what you were asking lol

@elesbb Would you mind if I included this in a flashable mod I am building? Possibly will be later included in an aroma rom package if that is also okay. Credit of course would be given!!

Just link them to the thread. It's a simple app that's installed no flashing needed :)

Does this mod allow to keep the capacitive button back-light to "always on" (i.e. like the a Touchwiz ROM)? Thanks.
It doesn't have that by default? I can make it that they stay on though if it's not already set that way. Needs a bit more code though.

The capacitive buttons light when touched and stay on for 2-3 seconds. I would rather them always on, even when not touched. The stock touchwiz rom has the option to turn the off, always on, 5 seconds, 30 seconds, etc.

I have not tried this mod, but reading it is a simple on or off - I was curious if they "on" setting kept the lights was always on.

No "on" setting is stock behavior. I'll make an option for always on. :)

Gosh, that would be great, I would gladly donate for that feature! There are bunch of folks on some of the Google Edition ROM threads in the i9505 forum that are looking for this feature too.

OP Is updated. Now has the option to keep the lights on all the time. Only thing i forgot was to remember to keep them on after a reboot :3

Maybe if more people donate i will add that. I just feel more people donate the more the people care :)

I'm using this in 4.3 and the lights don't stay on all the time, they turn off. Is this supposed to work on 4.3?

Not sure haven't touched 4.3 and don't really want to. It should be working. Have you tried keeping it on for awhile and turning off the screen then back on?

@elesbb

I tried this some time ago and there's isn't an option to KEEP the lights on aslong as the screen is on? Just like TW roms. I want the lights on all the time, as long as the screen is on. Is it possible to add this?

Thanks

Well the "always on" option was working fine for a brief period last night, but it has been hit or miss today. I keep having to go back into the app to turn it back on - the setting does not seem to be sticking.
