It does. There is a apk for email to make it work but I couldn't find the new gmail so I got rid of it

Not only Gmail but most GApps(Which most of us are aware). MD comes with a price and the price FCs on some GApps.
If you wanna enjoy MD then avoid some GApps for the meantime until a fix comes up.

I have the same problem. I guess it only affect HTC One users.

works perfectly in Moto E 4.4.2. No crash.. just flawless..

Guess you've tried "Okay Google Everywhere" from the search app, then back into settings to see if available. Worked for me, had to set language to US English

Feature Request

Please consider adding these features to the mod...(I'm referencing many of the Nova features)

a) Vertical App Drawer

b) Dock - adjust vertical position of icons down; remove label area when labels are disabled (see attached screenshot comparison); maybe also add option to adjust Dock height.
