Is it a zip or an actual Apk? You just copy the apk to the directory, as opposed to flashing it.

Open wallet, in settings click change account which will reset wallet. Then in manage apps clear data and cache then uninstall wallet. Reboot to recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik. Flash the zip for whichever version you are on, not all 3. Reboot and setup wallet

I guess it's working now I think when it updates in the market it's messing it up so I disabled auto update

Do not update from the play store. When you so that then you have the regular app and not the hacked app

When you use the wallet app from the play store you have to change your build.prop to get tap and pay to work
Ooo OK makes sense so do not update the app...and it should work now thank you all who helped me I'll report back when I try it to see if it works Do I Need To Have The App Open To Use It

I always open the app and enter the pin then tap to pay
Update from the market breaks tap and play.... If that happens you have to completely wipe wallet and then in the play store make sure auto update is disabled..... There is not a hacked version for the new wallet... These zips have the required libs....

I think the update allows it to work with ART. Any chance of this working with art? On slim it crashes

stock wallet now apparently working in KitKat (Verizon!)
In the FWIW department, I just upgraded my Verizon HTC One to KitKat last night, and one of the first things I was interested in doing was try out the stock version of Wallet installed directly from the Google Play Store.
In short, IT WORKS!!
Of course, YMMV when it comes to other phones. But, it sure is nice not to have to rely on a hacked version of the wallet, or fear that any upgrade will screw up a working install.
Yes, I realize this should not be a surprise, based on previous releases. But, it seems that there aren't a lot of people mentioning it working for whatever reason.

I am trying to get my google wallet working, im currently running b25 of alliance rom with the flashable wallet zip installed and the build,prop changed to nexus. I still cant get the nfc tap to work everytime i try it says "tap and pay setup failed unable to set up wallet for purchases wallet is having trouble setting up tap and pay please try again this may take a few minutes."

Sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I removed my account from wallet, reinstalled and tried setting up again. I get the same error as you. So don't worry, it's not just you. It's something with Google not allowing the setup to complete. It could have something to do with Google dropping tap to pay support from all 4.3 and lower devices by mid april, this was reported last week. I'll look into it more when I have some time tomorrow
EDIT: I posted this reply and seriously closed Tapatalk, opened wallet, clicked retry and it setup fine. So keep trying and it should setup. Also, you do not need your build.prop set as nexus. The hacked wallet app is set as nexus. Having the note2 build.prop set as nexus breaks s note. Let me know if you get it working.
