I always build the apk with rvx-builder by inotia00 on Windows 10 and Windows Security alerted me as soon as a new integration apk was downloaded through rvx-builder. So I tried to download it from inotia00's github directly, still get alerted from Windows Security. Not sure why. :[

Windows security flags up loads of false positives, especially when you're testing against non-windows apps.

And also, I'm noticing that subtitles auto turn on everytime I open a video, anyway of disabling this?

Hi, thanks.
For ReVanced I didn't selected the "Custom Branding" patch which change the icon/name to ReVanced because I personally think their icon is ugly but I may create a poll and see what most people want.
Meanwhile you can do what Spanna told you or use Apk Editor Studio to change icon/name.

Three ways:

1: Edit the branding patch and build revanced yourself.

2: Edit the vanced apk and replace the launcher icons.

3: Use a custom launcher (e.g. Nova) and an icon pack to swap the icon.

Thats not what I meant.. revanced-magisk-module can already build rv exrended modules. You dont need to manually replace apks.

So now I would like to build a ReVanced Extended magisk module based on the the module of J-h (known here as @scrubjay55 ) with Termux.
I'm not good with these Git things and also Termux is relatively new for me.
Would be kind if someone who has this knowledge could help me with a short summary.
I know the building command for Termux is bash <(curl -sSf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/j-hc/revanced-magisk-module/main/build-termux.sh)
and I have to use config-rv-ex.toml
as config but I have no clue to do that.

I'm using the RvEx module by no-name.exe at the moment but I would like to change to the module by J-h .
If someone has the time to help, PM me or post it here.

Hello all,
First, thank you for your hard work on this.
Second, some time ago I was able to hide next, prev buttons and instead of these to have +10 or -10s button. I dont usually use the tap-to-skip-10-seconds feature but I would like it as regular buttons. It was working for me in the past but not now in latest versions, maybe I disabled or enabled some patches, cannot go over one by one now. But I am sure someone here can tell me how to do it with revanced extended settings? I am only able to disable next, previous buttons now. Thank you!

First thing first, I would suggest you and anyone to not use that website. Beside they changed a lot of times from where they take/built their apks and their faq and having reports for shady things from a lot people in the past, you also support a guy(s) who earn money (via ads on their site) using the work of other people. That's not good, don't you think?
The ReVanced Team, the dev of Extended inotia00 and the dev of ReVanced Magisk Module have said multiple times to not use that site.

To enable create button > Go to ReVanced Settings > Layout > Turn off "Hide Create Button" > Restart app.

This thread has a really good guide in the OP, so just read it and you know everything that is important. Among other things like building, versions and a lot of useful stuff also what sources are legit and safe to use and which ones aren't.
That .Io site has been discussed a lot of time because many users google ReVanced (Extended) and land right there.
Rule of thumb:
GitHub and XDA are safe. Most other sources aren't.

I cannot get revanced to work (magisk module). I am on android 13, magisk 25.2 (+zygisk). as per the instructions, I uninstalled all updates for youtube app first, then installed the modules youtube-revanced-extended-magisk-v18.11.35-all.zip and mindetach-v3.3.zip. however, after installation and reboot, youtube app is missing completely from the phone, nowhere to be found. it appears again only when I remove those modules from magisk and reboot once again. what am I doing wrong?

PS I tried youtube-revanced-magisk-v18.05.40-all.zip and music-revanced-magiaj-v5.39.52-arm64-v8a.zip instead of extended and it seems to work for now. I could not install any new applications from play store afterwards, that was fixed by cleaning play store cache and data.

If you mean on Extended, go to ReVanced Extended Settings > Video Settings and enable the Custom Playback Speed. Then go to a video and set it to your preferred speed.

i mean I would like to have custom speed like 1.05, 1.1, 1.15. cause 1.2 is too fast. how do i do that?

• Remove all YouTube related modules, if you have any.
• Remove directories: /data/adb/service.d, /data/adb/post-fs-data.d, /data/adb/revanced.
• flash zip via magisk

I'm new into using ReVanced (used Vanced before and NewPipe "inbetween" ... Now I can't find a topic on Mindetach-Magisk here @xda and I do not have a GitHub-account. Just wanted to share that I'd love a way to stop YouTube updating, but Mindetach is only for PlayStore. I have (a) de-googled device(s) and therefore it's not usable for me. I use LSPosed-module UpdateLocker for that purpose, but I'd love to give Mindetach a try once it works for other "stores" (like Aurora, or in my case /e/OS's App Lounge.
