I announce updates mostly for my ready apks which includes the latest patches so you can see the updated patches from there even if you don't use my ready apks.

I have a question regarding the newer micro g. On the old microG. If say the notifications got disconnected. I can just toggle it off and on and it'll connect again. (this sometimes happen after a network change etc). Now with the new one. It doesn't seem to work? If it got disconnected after a network change. Sometimes it won't reconnect. Force stopped and everything too. It used to be fine on the old micro g. All I need is to toggle it off and on and it'll connect again. Thank you

also it seems like there is a new patch for new YouTube version?

Hopefully this is the right thread for this - I'm trying to get Extended working. I'm on a Pixel 6 on the latest (April) update, with the latest versions of Extended (the more recent 18.14.41 version posted hours ago). I started off by using the Play Store to uninstall all updates to YouTube and YouTube Music, then installed the Magisk modules for both YouTube and YouTube Music. Both installed with no errors, but after a reboot, YouTube is still vanilla unpatched YouTube, but IS version 18.14.41. YouTube Music patched as expected. It's not Google Play updating it back to normal, and I've also tried installing mindetach to detach both apps from the Play Store in case that had something to do with it - no dice.

Hello! I have a Huawei P20 and I installed YouTube Vanced Extended using the APK from here. The app works great, but unfortunately, it closes after about 1 minute when I lock the device. I have disabled all power saving options. An old version that no longer works properly does not have this problem.

Hi thanks for the suport guys.

When I try to put the 6.1 apk patch from this github on my Android 7.0 device, it in the end aborts the patching procedure and fails to finish (even following the tutorial fully, like change the source, selected de youtube .apk version of the guide, in same order of guide, with microG, all done correctly etc), I can do it again and post the error here.

That's why I depend on an .apk that has this option available, the last version I downloaded here in the forum by Retrial
doesn't have the "Spoof Signature" option available in settings - revanced - miscelaneous. There are only 3 options there:

• Minimized playback / Video Buffer settings and Enable auto HDR Brightness.

I never tried the android6/7 manager. I patched my apk for android 6/7 on an android 8 phone. It went without errors.

By using you ready apk-s, is there any way to rename the Extended YT app? Or if i want the app to start with "YouTube", i just have to use the regular (non-Extended) apk from you?

If i can rename the Extended app from "ReVanced Extended" somehow, please let me know how.

Hi, guys. I'm struggling to get Revanced Extended to open links on my new Honor Magic5 Pro running Android 13. Unrooted because Honor doesn't even allow the bootloader to be unlocked.

Steps I have taken:
- Disable preinstalled YouTube app
- Revanced Extended "open supported links in this app" set to "Always allow".
(the supported links are youtu.be , m.youtube.com , youtube.com and www.youtube.com)


Even on my Vivo X90 Pro+ which runs a China ROM, I managed to get it to work. However no such luck on this Honor running global firmware. Weird.


UPDATE:
Found a workaround. Thanks to the LinkSheet app (on Github) by @1fexd I can now open YT links in ReVanced Extended.
Note: trying to open Youtube links via the Google News feed in Lawnchair will not work, but that's probably Lawnchair or Lawnfeed being wonky.

Hey all. I just tried to upgrade from revanced root magisk to revanced extended root magisk.

First I uninstalled revanced module. Reboot. Installed revanced extended module. Reboot. (In between each step even if I don't say so, I reboot, always).

Problem was YT app was missing completely (system app so can't be removed). I then tried to install the revanced extended apk, but it says it needs microg, which I won't use bc I have root for that.

Then I tried to uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot. Same thing. I uninstalled, then installed magisk module, and reboot. Revanced normal app+module works that way. Tried to install revanced extended on top of that without removing revanced normal module. Obviously it failed. Uninstall all, reboot, install revanced extended, reboot. App gone again. Install from play store, reboot, app gone again.

How is one supposed to get extended module working?

Check here reply from the dev of the magisk module (not extended). You can also use Revancify and re-mount after reboot, check here.

1. You can use APK Editor Studio to change the name, package name, and icon you want.
2. You can build yourself using the guides above.
3. I may change it on the next update to be just YouTube with the Extended icon tho.
EDIT: Latest update of my ready apk ReVanced Extended have as name "YouTube". Update and Enjoy.

I know but better to stick with vanced microg atm, to be sure everything is working right with the new mMicroG. Like notifications from youtube etc. Let me know if you can confirm everything is working fine.

Report that to @scrubjay55 the dev of the module. Here is also the Telegram.
Not sure if it's supposed to work as integration via other google apps.

From a few updates I've been having the random +/- 30s playback stop.

I've toggled the misc. settings - spoof on/off, reinstalled microG and Revanced Extended... Nothing seems to fix it.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Some people reporting the same even after the fix. No clue what else you can do rather creating a new burned account to use.
Try to report it on ReVanced and on ReVanced Extended Github.

You see ads on my ready apk of twitter but not in the latest 9.85.0? Weird, recommended version is 9.71.0 according to revanced github.
