I have a rooted phone, but is there an advantage in using the root install method over the non-root install method?
It seems like the biggest difference is that the root version doesn't require microG. Is that a significant advantage?
TBH, I have no clue what microG does - I understand that it replaces Google Play Service, but should I be concerned about how it impacts other applications?
I previously used Vanced (via the Vanced Manager) - did it install microG, or did forgo it because I had a rooted phone?
Sorry I am very clueless and looking for the easiest way to install / maintain Revanced Extended. Unless there is a good reason for going the rooted install method, or downside for installing microG, I am tempted to install microG and just install with the APK.
