i compared the original with the modified config file

i compared the original default_gain.conf file from the version 4.1.1 with the modified config file and I am not sure if it is going to work with the latest version of jelly bean for the S3. There some settings that are not included in your file. Could you please review it? Thank you

This is the original Samsung galaxy S3 default_gain.conf (included as an attachment)

Recently I did erase default_gain.conf so I use that one you posted. Normaly I renamed it from .txt to .conf. But I don't know permissions (rw-r--r-- ?). Do you know what permissions are? Thanks in advance.

the manually method was enough for me
works like a charm sound is great too.
but the app won't work .......first time run worked good inside normal the values appear like nothing goes wrong (note : i used the original sammsung file )
edited it .....after restart sound dosen't changed , the force to close and the file disappeard .......although using replace defa*******.con make it to disappeared too. :s ........so i pasted the file from the first thread again :)

the permission for system/etc/ is :
rwx r-x r-x

works like a charm through the app
removed it......install repeated everything and it works :)

How would I do this mod on CM10.1? If I just push the file to /system/etc will it work? I don't need to use the app.
Requirements
- An International Samsung Galaxy S III with Root Access and Busybox
- The ROM you're running must be a Samsung ROM (i.e. not CM)
- A knowledge of ADB, Fastboot and the flashing process, just in case

Hey,
1st of all thanks for a great app.

wanted to ask -
i'm using S3 I9300
4.1.2 JellyBean android version

i've downloaded your app
is it normal that i set the output volumes in the app, click "save and apply", go back, then again to changing the volumes
and the values remains the old ones? (50-57)

If not,
what am i doing wrong?

Thanks mate

This happens when the file permissions go wonky. Fix the permissions (should be rw-r--r), restart the app, make the changes and tap save - should work then.

Edit: referring to the default_gain.conf file.

Yes, I get that, I was asking if there's a way to do similar on CM. My bad.
