So is there a way to see whether my installation worked? If I understand this right, any version shows this verion number. They just get new patches but keep the version number? Even the newest one has v2.0.002. The current nightly got a huge update but still has the same - even though with a different patch number.V15 refers to what upgrades were used for 2.0.002 (which is stock CM Camera) to bring some G4 Camera functions back.
Nah, you just need to flash the lastest zip and that's all. The focus problem is well-known,go to CM13 thread and ask there for help, because I went back to stockSo is there a way to see whether my installation worked? So I assume I made something wrong. But what else could I do? Downloaded the zip, went to the bootloader, installed it, wipe cache ... reboot. Still no focus.![]()
Codeworkx doesnt have much time to prepare a new zip, maybe you can make a zip that brings some new features to SNAP?On g4 60fps works. You just have to set hsr to 60.
4k works too with setting preview to yuv420sp. When setting it to nv12-venus frames drops.
Older devices like g3 need nv12-venus.
The rule behind is: full camera2 use yuv420sp and legacy devices nv12-venus.

Kindahi guys , someone tell me if SNAP and SNAPDRAGON cameras are the same ?
I have a question with that .... greetings
Then forget about trying CM and AOSP based Custom ROMs. The camera apps which come's with that kind of ROMs don't provide you to make use of everything you can and could do with the camera of the LG G4 on Stock ROM. That's because the used software, drivers, framework... in the Stock ROM isn't open source. So every feature in the camera app and other things had and have to be rebuild by Devs which is extremely hard to do.Guys... Is this better than the stock camera???? Because i dont wanna switch back to CM again if it does not perform like the Stock Camera.
No offence bro...and I know about that and i also know how dev put their efforts to mods... Hats of to devs... But What i mean is does it perform well...???????Then forget about trying CM and AOSP based Custom ROMs. The camera apps which come with that kind of ROMs don't provide you to make use of everything you can and could do with the camera of the LG G4 on Stock. Well, in my experience the camera performs pretty well running CM based Custom ROMS but the manual controls aren't as good as with using the Stock camera app. And in some situations like when it is dark the camera just doesn't perform as well as it should on the Stock ROM. Also the average photo quality is a bit less on CM and AOSP based Custom ROMs compared to the Stock ROM, even in the best possible situations when it is a really sunny day. And btw I don't mean by sayning this to be disrespectful to the Devs who put so much effort in the development for this phone. The camera in CM and AOSP based ROMs is far from bad and actually pretty nice but just not as good as with the Stock ROM and camera. No offence bro...and I know about that and i also know how dev put their efforts to mods... I'm interested too!Hi codeworkx!
Are you planning to compile a version from CM 14.1 source?
Is compatible the current V15 with the nightly of cm 14.1?
Thank you very much!!!
Which Snapdragon camera do you use? Do you use built in one or downloaded from somewhere?I have a dualboot setup running with
a) Stock LG Android 6, LG Stock Camera & Google Camera.
b) Latest Lineage OS 14.1, Snapdragon Camera V2 & Google Camera. Couldn't get the Snap camera G4 edition flashed on lineage partition, so standard Snap V2.
In brighter daylight, Stock and AOSP Camera can absolutely compete. Very very similar level of detail!
However, in lowlight, high levels of noise render the pictures in modded OS unusable.
Noise reduction in SNAP camera was set to "High quality" and image quality set to high, all other settings have been left untouched.
LG Stock camera autofocus seems to be much faster, too.
This is noticeable in LG stock system if you compare Stock camera with google camera. LG Stock camera will snap much faster!
I have set up full resolution pictures for comparison in my google drive, but can't post them (new user)
Personally, I take many pictures with this phone and the LG stock camera app is the only reason I'm going to stay with LG stock as my daily system.
