OK I thought I might add my 2 cents here as well. I find the camera quality excellent, was not expecting this. Just one question, is the HDR mode actually working? I was not able to produce 2 different looking photographs with HDR on and HDR off. I tried various scenarios where HDR usually clears up an image a lot, always with the same result. Anyone else seeing this?
please test v8

I just tried another attempt taking a picture with auto flash, and it worked. Will install v8, and keep reporting back. I am off now, so it will take a while. Thanks again!!

@codeworkx
I have made a few other tests on my LG G3.
Your Snapdragon Camera app works on AOSP roms but not on stock based roms (FC).
This other Snapdragon Camera app for the G2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/themes-apps/snapdragon-camera-t3213605 works on both AOSP and stock based roms.
The main differences I see between them is in the structure of the folders and in the app's name (Snap vs Snapdragon).
How can we get your version working also on stock roms?
Provide logs.

Does anyone have access to two LG G4's whereby one can be on stock with the other on cm base so we can do a side by side comparison of the camera's in a range of different scenarios?

If not, I don't mind going between nandroid backups at some point but that means maybe 5 minutes between photos where conditions could change.

Just a thought anyway. Unfortunately I don't know anyone else with this phone otherwise I would be doing this test already and reporting back ?

That's why we should get this app working also on stock based roms. Makes it easier to compare with stock camera.

Provide logs.
We spoke via PM yesterday, I already provided you a filtered logcat.
Tell me exactly what you need now and I will help, but not the same log!

i'm again with the black bars. Clean install Rom (RR) and than snap v8.

Have you had this problem with cm13 as well? Maybe it has something to do with RR? Tried it with CM13? On my G4 i didn't try RR yet. Was my daily driver on my G2, but I'll stick to the original for now.

Btw, your pics don't show.

If you want a good log tell me exactly how I should do to take it, because I am not familiar with logcat.
For the above log I used an app called Logcat Extreme, recorded while launching the Snap app, and filtered based on the app.

It shows that the process died but not the reason because your filtering killed it.
Code:
01-08 17:54:51.957 1061 1479 I ActivityManager: Process org.cyanogenmod.snap (pid 28493) has died
Real men use a computer and the adb binary to get proper logs.
Start -> cmd -> Run command prompt -> connect phone via usb -> run "adb logcat".

You can try it again with your app but please do not filter.

Anyway I'll let you know.
