I never asked you to modify the original Cyanogen app, it doesn't make sense at all!
I asked you to modify your release, the one that you are sharing here on XDA.

And i don't have the time for it.

I don't think that a work like this would require hours. And you had the time to release 5 versions in 2 days...
However it's your time.

Ask one of the G3 devs to do it. The code is public: http://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_packages_apps_Snap
They would spend much more time than you, because they would have to study and get familiar with the code.
You know exactly were to put your hands. That's why I asked you to do it.

You clearly don't like the idea, that's all. Do what you want.
You are very high maintenance.

If you think it's so easy and seem to want it so much, why dont you read up and do it yourself?

It is the cm app. It's a residue from my daily cm builds. I'm just moving it into a seperate zip.

I told you that i'll do one single build for you, but i'll not maintain a second codetree or fork. The power button feature will be broken and unusable but the app wont crash for you.

Maybe because I'm not a developer? And if you read all the previous messages you will notice that's not about me, but about providing the app to more users. I would have taken his offer to having a custom build if it was just about me. Read the messages and don't worry, he knows how to reply. I had previously spoken with him via PMs so you are missing the entire picture. Nobody has attacked him or forced him into something as you think. And I have nothing to ask him now, this ends here. Your message is pointless.

It's not about me, codeworkx, it's about the community.
However, thanks, maybe I will get back to you after some other build.
I will see if someone from the G3 section is interested in porting it.

TO ALL: THIS ENDS HERE.

Snap will be included in CM builds for G3 soon, too. But there will be the same problem with stock Roms.

Ask some G3 user who's doing private builds of CM.
I can also post a patchfile here.

Your pics never show, or is it just me? If you still have the black borders, which rom are you using atm? Did you try the latest nightly with snap already integrated?

Now its showing. But still curious. Which rom are you using at the moment? Did you try the latest nightly without flashing snap separately, as it is already integrated? No reason it shouldn't work on your device. I never had this.

With integrated snap cam there aren't grey bars. When I flash than I get them. I flashed that cause I thought that codeworkx zip is newer than the integrated one

Currently the integrated one is the better choice.

Try:
adb root
adb shell setprop persist.camera.preview.size 4

This should work on the non-integrated. The integrated uses a newer way.

@codeworkx

I've found it... now I know why I get the grey bars even with integrated snap cam.

the issue are the navbar settings. when I disable navbar with build. prop or with system settings or with gravitybox than I get the grey bars... but sadly I hate the nav bar so I'm using LTM... and that's why I getting the grey bars

somehow I can't change preview with setprop... terminal can't found that command
