Sorry for the maybe stupid question, to download a flashable updated zip, is it enough to download the zip from github? Or it is not flashable and contains just the source code? I can't understand.
If you download the zip it will just contain the source code if originated from Github, the flashable zips on here will have the proper update script which includes location and permissions

Thank you very much, this is a great camera app, I'm enjoying it from few days and I don't want to loose any update. Is it still developed and followed? How can I understand if there is an update? Just following this thread, or there is a repository or something out there?

The newest version will always be included in the cm 13 nightlies. There won't be a separate version as stated by codeworx right in this thread a few pages back.

Read through all 15 pages, didn't see an asnwer. I'm on CM 12.1 with my H811, but want to try this camera. I'm new to CM, so maybe I'm just dumb and missing it... but I don't see CM 13.0 available in any form for the H811. I only see it for the H815. Since this thread is titled H811/H815, am I missing something?

Is it that this camera works to flash in Cm 12.1, but happens to be included in 13.0?

Unfortunately CM 13 is no yet available for the H811. We have to wait until T-Mobile releases MM, so we can get CM 13. In the meantime, we must be content with CM 12.1. If you want to use this camera, you have two options (AFAIK):

1) Flash the laterst version available on this thread (v.11), but it's already outdated, as further development on it will only be reflected on the version included in CM 13.

2) Extract it from CM 13 and install it in CM 12.1 (I,m not sure it's possible, but I'm willing to try)

I still don't know how to extract an app from a CM 12.1 zip file. I was searching on Google, when I came across you post on this thread. If I find a good walk through, I'll post it here so you can try it as well.

Hey @codeworkx I know that the only way to get this camera is to flash CM13. It also occurred to me that I can also try to build it from source or extract it from a CM13 .zip file. I've been researching how to extract, and frankly I haven't found an adequate guide on how to extract. So, I decided if I'm going to learn something new just so I can get the camera, I might as well learn how to build from source. So now that I am committing to this, is this Github link the one from the OP the one for the Snap Camera with your optimizations for the G4 (Laser auto-focus, etc)?

Do a cm13 build for h815 and you'll have the one you want.

Snap camera is really great and fast!

Two tiny things I found:
1) Number of images left (7457) overlaps a bit gray area on bottom
2) When taking photos in portrait, pictures in bottom left preview arent rotated accordingly.

Using Samsung S3 (i9300) here.

I can't report this at 100 per cent but I am still trying... Snap cam doesn't like power shutter. It's just random. 3 out of ten doesn't take pic. No idea why. Tried every setup it's just random. Wish I could be more clear, but no idea why. Just try take 10 photos with power shutter you know what I mean

Also when it doesn't take pic we can't press preview. Hope that helps
