I have been using the free one to try wanting to buy the pro. But when it checks my heart rate I notice it takes a long time. Longer then stock. I will seen the heart icon on the stars bar for 10 mins or more. Running a Huawei watch latest android wear not preview

Hi, do you think you could add csv import of data ?
Thanks

There's download feature in menu, to get the CSV

Didn't know until now that this app was the work of someone on XDA.
Going to buy the pro key to support someone from the community.

Cool, thank you

The heart rate check should be only around 2 minutes (can be configure in setting). What is your phone model, sending me the log will help me analyze (menu - send feedback)

@jimmod Can your app Heart Rate OS, be made to use the native heart rate sensor built into the No.1 D5 Android 4.4.2 smart watch phone. It would be great if the app would 1) detect when you're inactive for 10 minutes (sleeping, or any time you're not moving your arm), 2) take the heart rate measurement, and 3) post this new heart rate data point, with geographic location, speed, altitude, whatever else google tracks, to google fit. Over wifi or cellular data. If neither is available, then fallback to a configured phone number to send it in a more compact format over SMS. This way the app can find a new use as a health and anti-lost tracker, to be worn by seniors/parents, and kids.

Hi, the old app was having trouble because of the developer account closed.
So I need to move it to new developer account. Please bought the new donate key here: google play and send me email of both purchase (old & new) I'll refund the new purchase as duplicate purchase.

Currently HROS only support android wear, not planning support with android (not wear) watch.
But good idea on geographic location, speed & altitude as anti-lost tracker. Although I haven't found best way to figure out the watch not moving without wasting to much battery

been using the free version for a few weeks as has been performing better than another app that never worked unless manually told it to test. i'm using the huawei watch and pixel xl and have noticed that the time of the recordings does not match the time on either device. can it be made to use the time of your device. is possible to add an entry of when the readings fail as sometimes there are gaps and not sure if these are because of failed readings or the test never ran.

If you are not near your phone and the readings are taken but can't be uploaded does the app store these on the phone and then upload next time it reconnects to phone?

Overall a good app, but currently holding off and buying because of these few things.

LG Sport Watch

Hi, I just got the new LG Sport Watch, any chance you are going to update your app to make it compatible with it?

I've been using this app a while now and it's good when it works but often it fails to take any readings at all for days on end. At the moment it hasn't taken an automatic reading for a week. It does it fine if I take a manual reading, but really I need the automatic readings as that's what I got the app for. I will likely upgrade to the pro version if the app becomes more reliable. I'm using an lg g watch r (wear os 1) with a samsung s5 (latest android 6).

Currently HROS only support android wear, not planning support with android (not wear) watch.

I'll also put in a vote/request for developing this app for Android Round Watches (most are on 5.1 now). All these watches have HR sensors like Wear, yet there are NO applications available that allow HR recording! The Android Round Watch community is growing like crazy! {like https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/other-smartwatches/kingwear-gv08-gt08-kw18-kw88-3g-wifi-t3411185}

I'd definitely be willing to pay a HIGH premium for a HR recording app that worked with these watches!

I have had some similar issues with the readings just stopping randomly, last time i had to clear app data to get it going again.
I was just having a look then and noticed that the 'optimise battery usage' was on, so have tried turning off 'optimise battery usage' for the app, and see if that helps.

(Btw, great app though, I got the Pro key already. Thanks a lot to jimmod!)

independence from the phone

Now that Android Wear 2 allows watch apps that are independent of the phone, can we have a version where the data collection is not triggered by the phone? It seems like the current design causes an unnecessary overhead of communication between the phone and the watch. Bluetooth shows up as high in the list of power consumers on my phone and the app doesn't work if I turn off the bluetooth on my phone.
In an Android Wear 2 version, the watch could just communicate once a day with the phone to export all of the measurements. If your code is in a public repo, I am willing to contribute.

I just purchased your pro app. I do notice that its very inconsistent in taking successful readings.

My biggest gripe though it's trying to take readings when I am not wearing it. I see you mentioned that you will integrate it with Tasker. Can you allow to disable reading when not wearing.

Also I am not really interested in steps data. Can you allow a way to hide steps in graph.

Thanks.

Hi all since I've upgraded my huawei watch to android 2.0 the app has not managed to take a single reading. The green sensor goes on every time the app tries to take a reading but no results. Have removed and reinstalled but no success.

The readings are very consistent here. Huawei watch 1 with AW 2.0 and a Nexus 6 with Nougat 7.1.1. The only times missed are when I have the watch off which is only to charge and shower. I track sleep at night as well.

You should get a log from HROS to help diagnose why yours is not working. Also info about your watch and phone plus android versions on both. Troubleshooting needs information.

You can turn off steps in settings, see below, last choice in settings.

Wow thanks sir. I must be blind to not see the check box for steps.

I too have the same watch and os. Huawei watch 1 and aw 2.0 with OnePlus 5 Android 7.1.1.

I guess it's fine if you are wearing it all the time but if not it keeps running the heart check and keeps running for the default Max period. So would to have the option to stop monitoring when not wearing the watch. I hope Google does provide an API to check if someone is wearing the the watch our not.

Same here, the sensor stays busy until I restart the watch and no result is recorded.

I just bought the app for my Misfit Vapor. While it seems to work perfectly fine, I have a few suggestions to make it even better:

Already mentioned: Make it a standalone app on the watch that collects data by itself and syncs to the app on the phone only when requested or in configurable intervals.

And it would be nice to be able to set arbitrary intervals (in minutes) for automatic HR measurement. Like every 3 minutes, or every 10.

Also I'd like to see an Android Wear 2.0 "complication" that shows the last heart rate reading the how many minutes ago that was.

And finally a possibility to zoom into the graph would be awesome. With readings taken every 5 minutes it gets a bit crowded.

But still, even in the current state it's a must-have app for every owner of an AW2 smart watch with HR sensor.

    Hi all,

I just got my Moto 360 last month and was working on this app since I would love to track my heart rate all the time

    Download (Google Play)

    Description
    Got smart-watch?
It'll be a waste if it's not periodically check your heart rate

Heart Rate OS is a must have tool for android wearable smart-watch owner.
Everyone will curious about his/her heart rate across the day:
    - How much is my highest/lowest heart rate?
    - When was my highest/lowest heart rate occurred?
    - Is it having a pattern?
    - How my heart rate compared with my step history
    - Etc

And what cool is all your heart rate data will be sync to your Google Fit account combined with other Google Fit data.

Heart Rate OS is still beta and new feature will keep coming.
    - Setting hear rate minimum & maximum limit
    - Notification when below minimum or above maximum
    - Display step chart*
    - More options
    - Etc

    Common FAQ
    1. What kind of smart-watch do I need?
-> HROS will only work with Android wearable watch: Moto 360, LG G Watch R and other android wear watch with heart rate sensor. HROS does not work on Samsung Gear and smart watches using other operating systems. Tizen devices as Gear-Fit and Gear II are not supported. Please do not give bad rating because of it.
    2. My automatic heart rate check is not working?
-> If you tried manual checking working, automatic hear rate check should be work. Please try to tighten your band and select more frequent checking.
    3. What should I do if I have question/crash?
-> Write me email from menu "Send feedback" or go to HROS xda forum for discussion (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-wear/general/app-heart-rate-os-android-wear-google-t3031964)

Thank you for all the support :)

I've publish the new HROS on new account.
You can download it here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jwork.wearable.heartratesync2

It's gonna be tough to start all over again, please give good comment & rating if you love the app

Old HROS Pro Key will still work, but if you lost it you need to purchase the new HROS2 key (send me both order email to refund one of it)

Hi jimmod - I know you're working on this and am hoping it won't be a major hassle for you. I know I'd be interested in status updates as the progress continues (and you have time) just to know where things stand and get an insight into what you're up against.

Best of luck and by the by, love this app.

I paid for the app and now after formatting my phone I'm unable to re download it because it's not on the google play store. Any idea when it will be back?

    Hey.

Yeah I have the same problem with the Fit sync. I have no history.
Is there a way to see my heartrate in the browser too? I did not find the tab on the google fit page

People the author of the app wrote that his play store account has been suspended by Google. The author also mentioned that by the suspension of his account, the app does not have the permission to use the Google Fit API.
So this means that the app cannot be used anymore to sync heart rate data with Google Fit.

is it going to be fixed some time soon?
