No more notifications

Edited my own cab for QVGA devices without buggering up the notification area.
Adds a shortcut in startmenu and add Wifi Router into the comm manager number 6.
Removed HTC Scroll.

It might be buggy, its the first cab I've ever made so please be nice.

Have you tried XDA wifi sharing on the front page ? I believe it is different from wmwifirouter and its free. It works well on my sprint touch pro 2. I have been able to tether with every piece of hardware except my android tablet (elocity A7) which is what started me asking questions on this forum. The wifi sharing program uses a basic wep encryption format but android has a tough time with the encryption and likes an open format. Give it a try. I know in the past Ive had to make some registry edits to get things working for certain internet sharing. What phone provider do you have ?

I tried the free version of wmwifirouter above, which I believe creates an open connection, but my hardware is not recognizing the wmwifirouter signal. Im wondering if the free xda wifi sharing application is creating a conflict with it somewhere.

i friend had it on their microSD and i installed it on my phone (sch-i760 wm6.1). i couldn't find it under the programs folder or in the "remove programs" option.

i have a brand new phone too.

my phone is qvga, i just tried [email protected] cm wifi and it installed, i did a soft reset... 2 laptops and my iphone(use it for browsing) couldn't pick up the signal? i let the app run for a couple of minutes and nothing.....

i removed WMWIFIROUTER and intstall [email protected] cm internet sharing, it didn't work, i tried 30021190's and it didnt work work either. i browsed through my phone and noticed that wmwifirouter leaves registry files.... i did a hard reset and re-installed [email protected]'s cm internet sharing, i have 2 laptops and 2 iphones that couldn't see the signal????

my buddy has an old iphone 3g with IOS 3.1.3 and wmwifirouter will work with it.............. here's the funny thing, if i have this iphone connected, then my laptop will connect.

i'm at a loss..... does anyone have any suggestions? looks like i'll have to get a phone that runs wm6.5 ????

If you can get to Andriod Market Place you can use Baricale on an android phone.

Well i added HTC Scroll to the cab file and now i can scroll down the screen to see all of the page and settings so that worked


Here is the cab it's for QVGA only

Can't uninstall this and does not work with HTC Touch2.

Could you tell me how to uninstall this please. Standrad uninstall does not work

Did you make sure it wasn't running first? Reboot and then try uninstalling?

Backlight Issue

Do you have any issues with your touch pro 2 not goin gto sleep after you have installed this app?

Hi, installed this app, not satisfied. Although apparently a design feature, the backlight didn't go off while using this app, draining my battery. I've removed the app, but now the backlight still won't go off by itself. Regardless the backlight settings, set to switching off the backlight after 30 seconds. Before installing the app, everything was ok, now it's not. The app screw some settings.

I've seen other posts about this problem, but didn't found the solution. Anybody a solution?

Phone: HTC Touch Pro 2
OS: WM6.5.

I have this same issue. Does anyone know of any fixes? Do i have to hard reset to get it back to normal?

Problem with XDA-Wifi-Sharing

Hi,

I am new to this forum,the reason for me joining this forum is that I am a gadget guy, professional am a computer engineer and I love to test new s/w in my WM.

Recently I got this s/w downloaded Tom_Condo CM Wifi Sharing, well I installed it and it starts fine in my phone but am not able to connect either my another phone with wi-fi feature or even my laptop.

The problem : I cannot see a ad-hoc connection in my laptop wifi setting.
I created one by going into manage wireless settings -> Add connection (in my laptop)

Now it shows the connections and my laptop shows connection available but am not able to surf the internet. My WM is running the s/w even though.

Added info: my handset is HTC P3453 (Elf 100), and am using Windows 7 in my laptop.

I would respect the admin of this site, the moderators and the members if they can send me the solution to my email id [email protected]

Arrggg... dont work on my HTC Diamond.

I tried both versions (VGA & QVGA) and no difference between them. The program is too large for my screen resolution and can't see the buttons

App not working recently

I am running Win Mo 6.5 on my TP2 on Sprint. Do not remember which ROM I installed.

This app has been working great for past 6 months.

But today it stopped working all of a sudden.

I can launch the app. It creates the ad hoc network and I can successfully connect two laptopss to the ad hoc network.

But the problem starts when i want to browse. I cannot connect to any web page. I get "DNS lookup failed error" when I try to browse any site.

Surprisingly I am able to download torrents. I turned off torrents, did a dns flush and still I get the same error. I re-installed the app which did not help. Still getting the dns look error.

Would appreciate any help.

Since torrents are peer-to-peer and connect via IP address, I would say you have a DNS issue. Try specifying your DNS on your wireless cards on your laptops. I use OpenDNS servers, but off the top of my head, 4.2.2.2 and 8.8.8.8 are some public DNS servers.

Hi folks. First off I love this app. Been using it with my TP2 for almost a year. Just bought android tablet. Its rooted and I got it to see xda wifi sharing (adhoc) on phone but it won't connect when searching for ip address. First device I havent been able to connect so far. Any ideas ?

From your description, that was also my trouble. It went right by changing the master setting
to ad hoc.

Edit: I apologize. That above suggestion applied to my situation of using the android wifi tethering app
on my Android phone. "Excuse the ring." :/

OK, I installed the downloaded cab, it said that it was already installed and that it would remove the older version before installing. i installed to storeage card. said evertying installed.

well ... where is it? I have my windows/start menu very customized. but i do not see a lnk anywhere. cannot find the program files anywhere. in remove programs I see Julien MANICI WIFI Remote Access - is that it?
