I just updated my Nexus S to CyanogenMod 10.2 using their install process. The phone works great but I was missing
maps. There were no google maps installed at all on with the new ROM. Like a lot of others, I hate the new maps
and was looking for the older app.
I've downloaded "6.14.1 With Blue ICON (NavigationMOD).zip " and saved it to my SD Card. However, I cannot
get it to install. I tried using the file manager but no go ...
When I click on the zip file, it tells me that this is not a valid chomp SMS theme. It seems chomp SMS app uses
zip files to package its themes.
When I rename the zip file to apk and try to install it tells me "Parse Error: There is a problem parsing the package"
I then tried installing WinZip app onto my Nexus S. This looked good. I changed my security setting to allow install from other
sources and tried again.
This time it unpacked the zip, showed the apk file. I start to install, accept permissions, it goes for a while then dies saying
"app failed to install" ....
What an I doing wrong ?
