Hi

I started this project on the GALAXY TAB 7.7. Because the version GT-P6800 I have has no IR blaster I worked first using USB-UIRT a separate blaster.
Now I own a GS4 and can use also the internal GS4 blaster with the application but mainly uses it via USB-UIRT.
But I also intend to support this TAB and currently it is working for me with Android 4.1.2

If anyone is interested I would be curious to know if that application works on the TAB 7.7. the variant that get the IR blaster.
Also if anyone is familiar / own USB-UIRT and knows a bit about Python they might be interested about that application.
