Thanks a bunch for this, using it on AOKP (samsung fascinate). Flashed in recovery and working great!

Just wondering about updates? I don't know how often it's updated in CM source, but as there are changes to the app will there be updates?

Yeah it's working but this DSP compared to CM7 back then is pretty useless. No improvement at all.
Went back to PowerAMP :/ Hope it's working soon.

Jut making sure you didn't use poweramp to conduct your eval. Poweramp intercepts the audio stream at the same layer so DSP manager has no effect. Try using the standard player instead. IMO power amp does much better btw.

I still use DSP manager because streaming apps such as WinAmp and Pandora don't benefit from PowerAMP's improved signal processor; however they do benefit greatly from DSP manager's somewhat less effective signal processing.

In a way, the fact that PowerAMP preempts DSP Manager while it is running makes this a good thing...

I installed it on my galaxy note stock firmware. The programm starts fine but it does nothing. It doesn't change the sound at all. Any idea? Using the samsung stock player.

I thought the Note was running Gingerbread. If so there's the problem. This version of DSP is for ICS.

yeah thx man it works here and it works also with jukefox along with voodoo sound ( i cant belive that nice sound with dsp and voodoo its now the best player) will test it against winamp too hopefully it works also

and i dont rebooted the phone after the install will test it now if it works afterwards and report it here

Galaxy S i9000

Rom: SlimICS 3.4

Kernel: Semaphore 1.1.0s

i 've extracted the apk and lib to install it manually via total commander

edit:
dsp is working in jukefox after reboot

but in winamp it lets hang the song and scratchy sounds while playing the same song that i used for testing jukefox

edit 2:

to the guy under my post

did you fixed the permissions

have a look here ghisler.com (the one and only total commander for android)

and i also don't have an Nexus S just an Galaxy S

Total Commander?

I've flashed the .zip posted in post #6, but the app keeps crashing.

Will this work in Sony Xperia Mini? Whoa, now I noticed this is Nexus S, not general forum... :D

So, does it crash because I'm not on Nexus S, or because I did something else wrong?

what does this app do exactly? improve audio performance in general, or just in headphones?
Digital Sound Processing. It gives you the options to tweak the sound output such as: bass, equalizers, various 'room' emulations like 'large hall' or 'studio'.
