In the 3-dot menu, the "find on page" option has the wrong string of text, instead displaying "there was a problem turning off USB storage". Using Google Plus Edition GPE v2.04 on my m7.
I will try to fix it in the next version will come after mid-term exams :)

I have had the same problem with previous version.

I advice you to:

- Create a folder named Browser in /system/app or in /system/priv-app (this last path I see it's better 'cause probably this APK is compiled expexting to be there in the original source rom)
- copy there the APK
- Modify permission/properties to 644 or rw-r--r-- (it's the same thing)
- wipe CACHE and DALVIK-CACHE in recovery
- Reboot devices letting it regenerates caches

Hope this helps
Hi there

followed your instuctions and created a browser folder in priv-app instead of app folder and it worked in android 5.1!

installed the google bookmarks sync apk and synced my bookmarks. Everything is working perfectly.

this is the best version of AOSP browser out there with no graphical glitch on quick controls mode.

thanks to @RedBlackPellet for your wonderful work here.

You can't just flash the zip file, it will throw the apk into system/app root folder. Which does not work for nexus 6, after all this thread is for htc m8.

Manually create a browser folder under system/priv-app and dump the apk inside. Then set the permission for the folder and file.

Reboot and it will not FC. Install bookmarksync if you want to sync your bookmarks.

This method works for my nexus 6,5 and 7.

Thank you for V4. It's awesome.

For future version I advice:

- Fix "Find" in page function label in menu.
- Option to threat tabs like recent tasks in lollipop task switcher.
- Option to have address bar coming down when scrolling down even if with Labs->Fast commands activated.

It would be great

bye

Thank you!

So damn fast!
My importet favourites got shuffled but its such a fast Browser i took the time to Import them manually.
Deleted chrome :)

2 "Bug Reports":
- sometimes scrolling gets bugged, i still can scroll but its very slow and it stops scrolling if i stop touching the Device. Normally it keeps on scrolling (pretty fast) if the Finger looses contact to the screen.
Restarting Browser fixes that

-the names of my favourites get randomly deleted but only their names.
They also get sorted in a random order it seems to me

Great app! Flashable didn't work (force closes) but when installed manually works great on my Nexus 6. Only thing is full screen mode doesn't stick requiring me to renable full screen mode once browser is completely closed. Would be nice to see full screen mode stick with next update.
