NOTE: For those having problems with Force Close after Google sign in just execute the following commands:

su
rm /system/app/com.android.browser.provider (Removes apk folder from /system/app/ location)
pm clear com.yourapp.packagename (Removes application data)
reboot
AFTER THIS, YOU CAN INSTALL Browser.app AS A NORMAL APK

Tried this with a Xperia Z3 Compact, and working.

This seems to be caused because some devices have Chrome app pre-installed and, therefore, there is something like a conflict (AOSP Browser contentprovider´s name is the same as "com.android.browser.provider"´s )

I guessed all this info reading the logcat ;)

does anyone know if there is a possibility to change the browsers green color to black or even custom color? this is the only thing that is keeping away using lollipop.

Installed The ZIP and Other APKS in Samsung Galaxy S4 with STOCK Deodexed Android 5.0.1 And Works. Had to Delete Samsung Browser first and put the browse.apk file into Browser flder (all apk is stored in folder named the same like app).

Please consider helping out the folks stuck on 4.4.4 by releasing a Browser.apk that works on the older api and resolves the "install failed conflicting provider" by changing the internal app name so it can co-exist with Chrome ?

Are there any chances for update?

I successfully installed it on Xperia Z5 Compact with stock Marshmallow firmware, but it is much slower than Chrome. I suppose that browser is too old for Snapdragon 810 and there aren't any optimizations for this chip.

different builds have different sizes
sources change daily but if made a build of an app at the same time as me from the same source they got to have the same size ;)

Just tried v5 on my beta n Nexus 6 no go. Doesn't even open. V4 works on beta n though. So that's what I'll stick 2.

--v5 update
-marshmallow only....based on....CM latest...
-for lolipop use v4
-many bug fixes and optimizations
-please test and report back.....
tried v4 and v5. it was actually v4 that worked for me on resurrection remix v5.7.3 and beanstalk v6.20 (both marshmallow 6.0.1 roms with aug 5 security patch level) on my 'arm' htc one m8 and 'arm64' yu yureka respectively. thanks (pressed) for your work. :good:
