That's a good idea--worth a shot. There are other cameras, too. For example, those based on ColorOS camera have the giant picture plug-in--whatever it's called. You can experiment around a little.

i jumped to 12.1 today.. still installing some little updates.. than i will install lastest cameranext modded and try it .
in cm11 i alredy i tired color os camera app. it gives around 3.5 megabyte picture.
Can't tell you--however they got some slightly different features, both being pretty simple. Oxygen does slo-mo, time-lapse, panorama.
hmm.actually i only used normal shooting. .. when you compared picture quality? everyone says oxy is better than camera next.?
i wanna try oxygen os.cause i really use very simple things.it is enoug for me but waiting one more updates too like 2.2... everyone says battery drain is not fixed on oxy?
on the other hand i jumped 12.1 and install v10 cameranext .. shot someting and picture sized are got bigger finally... now aroound 4-4.5 megabyte in auto and clear image ..14 mb on 50mp mode.. (when i turn off wavelet ,auto mode takes aroun 10 megabyte)
color os cam is about 3-3.5 mb on auto mode now.
I love OxygenOS 2.1.4--no battery issues or any trouble--rock solid. CameraNext Mod Slow Shutter, nor in fact any slow shutter, does not work on it though. Glad you got some cameras working the way you want.

Not working for me , clean flashed COS13. Also the package installer focre closes everytime i install a apk from file manager. Other apps work fine though.
Some pages back was posted this link: http://www54.zippyshare.com/v/sg6FYaNM/file.html . this worked for me.
I have package installer crashes too, but apps still install.
