i gave it a try and went to www.hulu.com clicked on the videos and a message on the screen said (hulu requires flash player 10.0.32 or higher)
so the flash player does not work ,browser looks nice

This doesn't work on all sites yet. There's only partial support for the sites listed in the beginning thread. To see the actual performance, use the source we've listed. More support will come later as we fix performance issues .

I like the start page haha, omg I just realized that divx is working too!???? Wow you guys are awesome!

It would be great if tapping the address bar would select the content. Also a stop/reload button in the bar would be welcome.

Favorites and tabs would be good too (but they are already on your to-do list). How about swiping in from the left for tabs?

Some features the original IE9 lacks that would be great, are a forward button or menu option, and find in page (is that even possible with the IE frame?).

I think the advertisement takes away too much of precious screen estate. Do you plan a paid version without ads? Maybe you could remove it during the beta test

Video streaming works perfectly from the start page. Awesome work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback man, glad you like it.

The ad has several functions, tracking the usage (by impression count and we know how many betas we have send out) and also to finance development (its only a few euros so not much) a paid version will certainly come but we do the betas with an ad. Of course the goal is to provide the best experience and we are indeed working on the features you have suggested.

And yeah there is no timer just the 72 minute limit which is too hard to bypass, other than that no waiting.

You run some custom JS code in the browser control right? So it would be really cool to have an autofill function

It doesn't have to be much. It doesn't have to be automatic form filling for contact forms. I would already be happy if I could put my email address (defined in the settings of the app or so) into a form by tapping a menu item. That would be great.

So for example you get the form field with the name or id "username" or "email" and if you find it you set the value to the email address.

Would that be possible?

• Crash when we go to the History (only when History has a new entry)
• Unhide address bar
• Certain Youtube videos don't appear - IE9 : OK
• Certain videos show the message "Unsupported video" (Megavideo)

Pros :

• Hidden address bar
• Videos playback really smooth even in 720p (Megavideo)

Improvements :

• Search Engine in address bar
• Find function (Already mentioned)
• Forward (Already mentioned)
• Stop/Refresh Button (Already mentioned)
• Tabs (To do list)
• Favorites (To do list)
• Fullscreen (History... could be unhidden like address bar but from the bottom of the screen)

Thank you, ofcourse we would love to have a video on here!

Let me comment on some of your points.

We did not yet touch youtube so it uses the (buggy) MS plugin our class technically supports the youtube flv format, but it can not support seeking (yet) so we did not implement a "take over" on youtube videos like we do with megavideo because we wanted to get seeking to work first.

Unsupported videos can be of 2 reasons. The message this video has been removed will appear if there is no flv equivalent to the uploaded video file on megaupload. The other message unsupported codec will appear if the video is an old video (which was still encoded using h263, which we might or might not support). There might ofcourse be other unforseen reasons, if this issue keeps popping up, try and send us the video link and we will have a look.

Thanks for reporting all other issues, we will try to isolate and fix them.

At least its good to hear you had no real issues with videoplayback, so this means the core is quite decent and the beta test is a succes hopefully we can work out the kinks and also add youtube support (perhaps without seeking?) or we just take the mp4 youtube links and play them in the native wp7 mediaplayer, which is probably the easiest solution.

We hope to also support mp3 audio soon. But this will take some investigation in the format still.

Thanks for the video! It will give a clear impression of what the app is all about, Ill add it to the fist post.

Some questions regarding the sound issues:
Is it out of sync or out of frequency? Pitched higher than original, and with gaps etc in the audio playback?
This is because the audio is a little hard to do right... Not all FLV's display the correct sampling rate so we made a guess which seemed to be accurate on the video's I tested it on. If its out of sync or mis pitched, thats because the sampling frequency guess is not accurate than...
But if the sound is stuttery there might be a different issue, maybe a different codec and we need to implement that codec. Or maybe its just too slow pumping in audio samples which would be more of a hardware/efficient coding issue.

I had the problem with Episode 02 Season 10 of Family Guy and with another in 720p.
