How about adding Arabic Language to this browser? There is no browser read arabic correctly.

I speak/read a lot of languages but no arabic. So I dont know where to start. And Im afraid we are using a webbrowser element and if microsoft does not natively support it there will be no possibility for us to add it. It will mean that we will need to rerender every letter trough javascript and this would be too slow. Can you give me an example of a page which does not work?

Also our focus is not the browser, its the ability to play videos and online movies and tv shows. The browser is something which just grew on its own.

Also as far as I know arabic is not supported on the platform. Does IE9 support it? If yes well there is a possibility, if no, than we cant either and you will have to complain at microsoft.

I like it, and I know that you are working on the tabs suport, but something I´d really really like is a back and forward onscreen buttons so the hardware button can close the app.

is in the next update also! well no forward buttonyet, since that involves some new complicated logic. I will see if there is a lot of drmand for that ill implement it, but I indeed seperated the hardware key and the history back.

Version 1.2 with a lot of new stuff and improvement has just passed the testing phase.

And I've also submitted version 1.3 for testing with some hot fixes and more features, which should arrive somewhere this week.

Again the submission process was quite rought that why it took so long (could not send in an update for 1,5 weeks), version 1.3 is in testing now and will hit the mp this week. Version 1.3 should iron out all the kinks. Please take this into consideration and I kindly ask all to update the review+rating afterwards.

It got a lot of one star ratings claiming its crap and it does not work, but dont let the people fool you. It does work, but as with all work arounds its not super stable. My suggestion is to use mainly megavideo as the source, videoweed is also a good one, as is putlocker. Unfortunately videozer and videobb are slow and unreliable but they do work in v1.2 and v1.3 will fix another issue some videos might have with these hosts.

2/3 days and the official update should be there. Im now finishing up v1.4, 1.3 was submitted last saturday. Im not getting any response on the last betas so I stopped releasing betas, all further versions will come trough the MP. Not trying to be rude or anything, I hope everybody understands that Im trying to make the best experience possible but there is only a handfull of people who seriously helped me. The reviews are even full with insults while Im doing this for the users and dont force anybody to use it and dont make false claims. Im tired of that stuff and unfortunately the bad ruin it for the good people. And I appreciate all responses and I know the positive ones mainly come from XDA people, but even in this thread are some harsh ones.

But that aside, a couple hate reviews dont let me down and I will deliver to those that do appreciate it and will keep pumping out updates.

i think you'll get more useful feedback if you put better info/instructions on the MP listing and also maintain a list of "sites" that work and do not work. Just an FYI but knowing what to expect is very useful in avoiding negative reviews/comments. Thanks for the great work!

Yeah I guess your right, although there is a very extensive about page with detailed instructions. People just expect I switch a button and they got a adobe flash working, some responses are just simply crazy. But indeed as you say some people cant think for themselves and you have to explain every step in detail. Its funny to see the distribution of the ratings, there are a lot of 1* almost no 2/3* than a lot of 4/5*. Its obvious from the responses of the 1* peopl that they did not read the instructions so ill need to be more specific in the description, but I guess even then there are simply haters and its better to just ignore it. I rather spend time on people that do have usefull criticism.

But i'm working on a simplyfied version which simply only has a textbox where u can input a url, click go and you will get a video if found.

Thr scan page function in v1.3 should solve all video detecrion problems btw. So than all the issues brought up are fixed (besisdes no Arabic support, but thats not up to me, thats up to MS to support that on the platform).

paid version is ad free, the black ad bar will be removed. In some countries there are no ads served, yet there is the black bar still, this will disappear when u buy the app. I tried to minimalize the annoyance of the trial version. That u can buy it only if you really like the app but still use it if you do not feel its worth it to buy, but you will keep this bar.

Thanks all for the support and the reviews/ratings. Version 1.4 just hit the marketplace, please let me know if any complications occur. Im trying to fix the crash out of megavideo bug which suddenly appeared for no reason (yeah its never ending) my advice for now is to let it load a little longer before pressing play. That seems to fix it for me. But its very random still and unfortunately does not occur when in debug mode so I can not debug it..

Have fun with V1.4 and let me know what you'd like to see improved

avi files from megaupload

Hey there,

Can your browser play avi files from file sharing sites, like megaupload, rapidshare, fileshare, and others?

Or can download those files, and put it in the videos section of zune?

If not, can you make them work? or is it too much work?
