Hey I didn't mean to offend but some people had issues getting it to work. I am on the Canadian version so would you recommend me flashing the zip. I already downloaded it but don't want to try and then have camera failure. And i'm not sure how the different bit sizes would help..not sure that was even explained. I mostly make short videos but I love the idea of a better quality vid or pics. Is this noticeable etc ?

Not a problem. Only touchy qhwn people say "from the reviews ill wait" the only way to know if itll work or not is to try it. There are so many variants of the device and i have tried to cover any and all sides with exynos and snapdragon but when i only have the snapdragon one its hard to tell what will and wont work with others. As for image stabilization and some people saying auto focus isnt working i touched nothing in them areas. Now all i can say there is try a older version and see if the problem still occurs. When programming smali it is almost impossible to not screw something up. Anyways if u make a backup of your camera and a backup of your system through recovery the worst thing that ive read is that it bootloops your device. From what ive read it is because there are different camera modules. Either way i say try it out and ler me know if it works

Just tried it and it didn't work. Are there any other apk files in system/app that might be related to the camera? I feel like there's going to be a lot of them, in which case this won't be worth the headache

There is 2 apks you deal with. There others but they are seperate entities for panaramic mode etc but dont affect the camera

I can't get this to work on my N910C. Have tried both procedures, both failed. After reboot of device a camera fc message is shown. I do see the new camera icon, as described in startpost. But the camera won't start up.

I'm on Wanam's custom rom v1.5 and Adam (Wanam) custom kernel.

First I tried the first procedure by installing zip in recovery. Then (after a restore of previous backup) I tried the 2nd procedure: removed both apk and odex files, using ES File Explorer. Copied new camera apk and xml files to proper locations and set the correct permissions.

In both cases the new icon is in app drawer but the camera won't start up.

Strange or am I missing something?

Keep in mind I'm on a Beanstalk rom so I'm coming from nothing (I have no other Samsung camera apks or folders in my system/app folder)

It's just the settings button issue. On stock settings shows up. It the mod, it doesnt shows up for me.

Or can you edit that for me / us and link to that version?

It allows you to record 1080p videos @ 60 fps. The normal mode is just 1080p @ 30 fps.

Just flashed it and have 2 problems.
1st when I click the options all that happens is to lose the buttons no options.
2nd when I click manage modes I get fc.

I downloaded and copied the apk over the flashed camera and now everything works fine. It seems like the updater script doesn't remove the odex file and doesn't set the correct permissions.

Hi folks. I am a new member of this forum. I just got my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition.

I have already rooted it and installed TWRP recovery.

I am trying to follow the instructions to install this camera mod but when I try to delete the two files in SYSTEM/APPS using ES File Explorer I get a message saying that the files cannot be deleted. Obviously everyone else is doing this so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Want to get through this because I paid good money for the phone and want to improve the camera app like the rest of you are doing.

Can someone suggest to me what is wrong that I can't delete the files with ES File Explorer. I have checked that I have root with Root Checker and it says I have root access.

P.S. Just uninstalled ES File Explorer and reinstalled it. When I try to delete the files I get "Sorry, Operation Failed" from ES File Explorer
